Rather like Boris Johnson.

On why Biden was voted in, entirely down to the opponent. He could have been an actual donkey and would still have won.

I agree except that Boris has a massive intellect but no grasp of practicality, common sense or leadership.

Biden seems to have the intellect of a bunch of shamrock

Yeah, postal voting and ballot harvesting had nothing to do with it.

Whatever the reasons Joe Biden's administration is in the White House, it's proven an absolute disaster.

On foreign or domestic policy these are highly incompetent people....with the caveat that the State department is frigging nuts independent of who sits in the White House.

Regardless in foreign relations the damage done is probably generational and not really fixable now.

just watch Biden's boring rambling speech at Dublin Castle. He sounds utterly devoid of intellect and wit. And probably needs a nurse to help him in the loo.

and then El Presidente got a rapturous standing ovation from all the eejits in the crowd.

We are living in very dark times, indeed.

the Historical military Neutrality of Ireland is under major attack from the international Elites.

so, while i agree with your sentiments, the chances are that every Media giant, tech giant and Parliament will not agree.

What never ceases to amaze me is that a figure like Joe Biden is somehow meant to impress politicians from Northern Ireland. People who have no doubt all known friends and family who have been murdered for their political views (and this applies to all sides). People who still check their cars and homes for bombs. People who literally, for right and wrong, actually LIVE their politics, put it all on the line for them (and again, both sides)

And that dithering moron strolls in town and somehow they are meant to fawn all over him?

Beyond farcical.

And most of the killings have stopped, but punishment beatings and other forms of physical punishment are still used. Just not reported as they should be.
Business dealings for Republicans and Loyalist groups can be quite shady now that NORAID has ceased. Just don't look too closely at some business operations (legal and illegal)

the whole Biden joke is ludicrous. Especially considering he has probably more British DNA than irish. And if he starts supporting the 'RA then he will really look foolish......like going to Medellin and waving the flag for the drug cartels.

i reckon Biden's visit to Ireland is to take votes from Trump. Do the photo opportunity , with the irish Tricolor...and win in Boston.

I'm loving how most of the media are decidedly quiet about the embarrassing fact that this senile idiot is the most powerful man in the world.

I wonder why that is?

I don't think elected leaders are anywhere near as powerful in reality as we imagine them to be. They are front and centre certainly, but really how 'powerful' was Trump in that position, or Biden, or Obama. Do they really have tremendous scope to get much done, or are there so many checks, balances, gridlock, vested interests and opponents along the way that they're a largely interchangeable face and presence.

You struggle to find a person in some US states who doesn't declare themself Irish. It's curious to be sure.. to be sure.. since most have never stepped foot there. Then again its clearly a mantra and celebration of something that is part of the upbringing and culture of many there so about as real as any other arbitrary armour we use to tell ourselves who we are.

RTE were fawning and ass-kissing to Biden.

Which contrasts strongly to their outright vitriol for Trump.

The fact that one is a peacemaker and the other a War-monger , seems to have eluded them.
