I believe eze, olise, & ayew are central to all planning for next year.

Wilf is 50:50....depending if the big boys want to buy him.

Luka, and some of the other old men with injuries ? Thank you for the great service and best of luck in the Championship.

BENTEKE doppelgangers....ie ....we wait forever for them to find a purple patch ? Thank you and goodnight. Off to the championship.

Hughes still has the potential for greatness....if nurtured.

In goal ? Dunno, what are your thoughts ?

the 'Net-We-had' at the Etihad....again

Johnstone, Andersen, Guehi, Doucoure, Eze, Olise.

I think those 6 are the crucial foundations of the team so important to keep them going forward.

Beyond that full backs (2), a CM, a Wilf replacement and a Striker would be my priority in terms of signings/additions.

The likes of Jeff, Mitchell, Ahamada, Hughes, Ayew, Edouard and possibly JPM are all good squad players for the time being. I’d of included Richards as potentially part of the first cohort but he cannot stay fit for more than 20 mins. I’d also sign Lokonga on a permanent if available but looks like Roy does not fancy him at all.

Ward, Clyne, Tomkins, Guaita, McArthur are all on their way out and Jairo should be. Ferguson was never in.

That would be my summary of the squad. The last lot either will or can go, the second lot I’m happy to see stay and the first lot absolutely pivotal. As to whether we have any dosh to support investment I’m doubtful but that’s mainly due to tempered expectation from experience. A couple fullbacks, CM, winger and a striker would be dream land.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I get Wilf wanting to play in the Champions League but sadly (as the lack of interest in him by the really top clubs demonstrates), his time was two or three years ago. He can get still get there (the likes of Marseille will take him) but the truth is he's missed the boat on a career-changing move.

By would he really want to leave Palace now, forego his icon status with the club on the cusp of finally breaking through? You saw the smiles on the faces yesterday; men at work, loving their jobs.

I don't mind if Wilf stays or goes at this point (I just want the long-running saga to be over) but really, for him to walk away now would be like the man who's climbed to within ten feet of the summit of Everest deciding to turn back. My guess is that if Parish assures him that he'll make a suitable choice of manager hire and keep the present team together, augmenting it further in the summer for a real tilt at Europe next season, in the end he'll stay. Nothing will persuade Wilf to do that more than the performances in the last six games.

Priority has to be to get that new stand built! No excuses - we are safe for another season - so we have the money.

Who/what we need will be debated for the next 3 months - the gaps will become obvious once we know who is staying/going.

Exciting times ahead at The Palace!!

The one big problem I foresee is Parish appointing the right person for the managerial role.

I think Roy will stay for another year and as I am not expecting the board to splash out this will make sense.

We will get a replacement which will be for Wilf and or a main striker but not both.

We might pick up a couple of others but really not expecting much.

I wouldn’t rule it out. He has been asked about it enough times by the media and he hasn’t yet said no. Which would be easy for him to do if he was intent on retiring.

Seems sensible at the moment. Don't see major departures, apart from Wilf's long running story in the attack for next season. Clearly those players are responding well to his style. Expect the club will take stock at the final end of the season. If results go well in the final 4 games then surely it is a no brainer if he fancies the role ?

What happened to that last minute doom-laden waking when you had a similar experience to that prior to the Fulham game? Wrong type of tipple?
