The Met Police Twitter account posted yesterday;

“Our tolerance for any disruption, whether through protest or otherwise, will be low.

“We will deal robustly with anyone intent on undermining this celebration.”

Very free.

Good to know so does that mean that the next time a women is trying to get to hospital to see her dying mother the cops wont' just stand around doing nothing?

Or does it only apply when the establishment are inconvenienced.

If you're happy with the police saying things like that, you don't really believe in free speech.

You are confusing free speech and public disorder. I don't have a problem with what the police said I do have a problem with the double standards of them applying a robust response.

Goner be a lot of armed people around tomorrow. Any messing might meet their maker if it’s too close for comfort.

No, I'm not - you're conflating your obvious dislike of recent eco protests with free speech as a concept.

If I want to stand in central London tomorrow with a sign saying 'not my King', do you think I should be arrested?

the implication now being that if you are into 'Freedom of Speech' then you must be in the so-called 'Far Right'.

Funny enough, Hitler was a big one for censorship himself. You say the wrong thing and you get thrown in jail. Sounds familiar ?

Do you not accept that there is a big difference between the right to freely express yourself, within the parameters determined by the society you live in, and a right to say whatever you wish?

We have determined that some things are unlawful. Encouraging people to break the law is therefore itself unlawful. Do you believe it ought not to be?

Inciting hatred or violence is unlawful. Discrimination against certain groups is unlawful. Criticising those laws is not unlawful. That’s your freedom of expression.

Good luck getting a sensible debate

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
