There were a lot of unhappy fans when Roy returned but given the upturn in form over the past two months.

Would you now take Roy as manager come August?

RH is a very good manager as we all know, when he was with us before he didn't have the talent we have now to work with. Last stint he IMO did a brilliant job keeping us up and mid-table with far less quality. So, answer to your question, if he feels he wants and the players are onside then YES!!

The great debate of RH came in we turned a corner
What if PV stayed on would we have turned the corner ?
( as we know we played top teams on a run got a couple of narrow loses
& tight draws (( Man City 81st minute / Man Utd 91st Draw )) under PV

So if we keep RH on what is our expectation next year 12/13/14th spot ?

What if we have a poor run in first 3 months playing the top 8 teams from this year
Do we sack him like PV ?

Forever Palace Proud

It is not just about Roy and I appreciate he is the focal point but the back room staff come heavily into this …. Ray, Paddy etc so the question also is what do they want to do?
Ray is on the same short term contract as Roy with Paddy longer.
If the team can be kept together I would say Yes.

I started a similar thread a short time ago, 'If it ain't broke don't fix it.'
Unless there's an outstanding candidate available in the summer as part of some strategic master plan (which I doubt) there's no real point in making a change, particularly taking into account that the average tenure of a Premier League manager is less than two years in any event.
Roy has made it clear that he's not retiring in the summer and has been at pains to suggest how happy he and Ray have been upon their return.
It would surely be nonsensical to make a change merely based upon his age.

Its a big question would he have same effect next season , will we have the same squad apart from couple of upgrades , if he takes a job upstairs over seeing the new manager , but who will we have , it is a hard one , Long live King ROY and Prince RAY

I will be very surprised if Roy wants the job full-time. I expect him to go off on his hols (as he has said he will once the season is over) in the knowledge that he has finished his Palace career on a high and corrected a good number of people's misconceptions about his managerial limitations.

If Hodgson stays so does Ray,why would the heir apparent Paddy jump ship, it would make no sense. A huge yes to keep Croydon Roy.

I was very disappointed latterly with the Veira football but we'd played some of the best teams in this year's PL. It was a bit harsh to sack him when we were coming to a run of theoretically winnable games. However, I'm not sure Veira would have motivated the team like Roy, Ray and Paddy have done. On the basis of our recent results I'd be happy with the status quo but we should be adding to our current squad not potentially weakening it if all this talk of transfers is to be believed.

Roy is refusing to discuss his plans which suggest to me that he wants to stay. As others have pointed out unless there is an outstanding candidate better the devil you know.
