It's in Leeds hands now. Win two games and you stay up

Sadly it could happen. Tottenham have shot their bolt and West Ham will likely have no desire to be kicked around by a dirty Leeds team with European glory so close (I seem to remember a Brian Clough team suffering that 50 years ago).

One of my good London Cypriot friends is a WH fan so I will be a Hammer today as well.

We can’t finish lower than 12th and forest are safe.
A no pressure party day. Tbh these days as a last day don’t happen much so enjoy it they will be buzzing.
I remember the game before our FA cup v manure in 1990 was man city at home. Brilliant atmosphere and fans drinking, singing swapping scarves etc and partying together.
Makes a change from a pensive nail biting day.

Anyone remember these things from that game?:

At half time, a couple of Neanderthal-looking City fans got onto the pitch. Stewards started to chase, Palace fans started to boo....until it became clear that they were parading a banner that said "Good luck Palace at Wembley" (ie v Man U). They managed to get to all four sides of the ground, to massive cheers and applause, before being persuaded to leave!

The pitch was a strange yellowy/brown colour, because it had been treated with something. We were assured that the grass was "normal" in every respect other than colour!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Please let Everton go down, because I’m convinced that the football authorities are desperately trying to keep them up. ( I know - it’s an illogical feeling)!!!

You'll be hoping Leeds win at West Ham today, then.

I’m afraid I am. Ideally I’d prefer Leicester to stay up but I so sad that I’m desperate for Everton to go down.

I believe that Everton will beat Bournemouth at Goodison Park, taking their points tally to 36.
Leeds will need to win both their games,at West Ham and home to Tottenham to stay in the PL.
Advantage Everton.

At least if Everton do stay up, once again it will be by the skin of their teeth, so unless they dramatically alter the way that things are done at that club it would appear logical that they would soon become a solid candidate for the drop next season.

Everton extremely fortunate to be allowed nearly 10 minutes extra there.

It felt that they would play until they got a goal.

Celebrations in Nottingham and District as Notts Co have returned to the Football League and Nottm Forest have secured their survival.

I am delighted for Steve Cooper whom I rate highly.I would have no qualms if he was appointed manager of our club.

I must admit I didnt see them staying up.

Their owner must be mighty relieved given his outlay.

I would imagine most Palace fans would like to see Everton go down.

Cheikhou was on as a sub, he has had a long lay-off.

Good to see, and we will probably see him next week!

Be gentle with us, don't score any goals unless its own ones.

Fair play to Forest in staying up and grabbing 10 points from their last 5. As much as I loathe both Leeds (scummy little club) and Everton (their pitch invasion antics this time last season) equally, it’s hard to choose who I want to go down more.

Leicester will be good as gone at Newcastle after Monday night.
