Not to mention the years this comedian spent wrapped up in court over this, threats of jail time, people hassling his family, the lies spread in the media, being made unemployable.

And just for the fruitcakes on the left who are as obsessed with Hitler and WW2 as the Hitler fans themselves, no Roman salutes are not good. Just like they aren't. But no one sent Mel Brooks or John Cleese to the courts....John Lennon did a Roman salute as probably did Bowie (though less sure on that)...In Lennon's case as a youngster's lark.

However, just like humour can be made of them, people should be allowed to make jokes about most things....words are not violence...We can always just not listen, block or not buy a ticket.

A joke is not someone trying to get you sacked, a weirdo stalking you or some freak sending Police round to your door because they don't like you.

How did this issue become so important?

Hell of a question.

One theory is that following the financial crash of 2008 there was a rare coming together of the activist class and the 'silent majority' in a visceral loathing of the 1%. The 'Occupy Wall Street' movement actually scared those in power on all sorts of levels.

Because if people truly understood what went down in 2008, and more crucially what then happened with the bailout, then they would be hanging bankers and the like from lamp-post. But instead, it all fizzled out and the 'woke' BS took off meaning that the activists started championing the kinds of crap that the silent majority loathe.

So you got 'net-zero', BLM and now this Trans lunacy. Meaning the focus is off the real issue which is a venal group of people at the top literally sucking us all dry. Essentially the theory of 'divide and conquer' in a 21st-century format.

Now as a theory, it does hold some water and I am sure there are elements of it but even then, not 100% convinced.

My own, admittedly rather kooky, view is that it is essentially evil in its purest form. Literally something that celebrates young kids being rendered sterile. Boys have their balls removed, girls have their wombs torn out. And we are meant to cheer this on as being somehow progressive. Now I could go and expand on this into the realms of even more silver-tin foil hat-wearing about how they might even be harvesting something from what is going on with girls in the transitioning process (and the hidden narrative in this is the number of girls deciding they are really men with all that entails - ignore all the failed actors/sportsmen trying to resurrect their careers, that ain't the real story despite the hype) but that is for another day.
