A shame about JM but Luka should have been long gone. Hopefully there are replacements in view but never to be relied upon with Mr Parish, who, even after 11 years at the top table, still has a Championship 'recruitment' policy, everything on the cheap.
And before I get shot down in flames, Mr Textor funded the phantom spend in Summer 2021.

You really are clueless, Parish isn’t the major shareholder, but CEO so why do you expect him to fund everything? 10 years in the Premier speaks volumes for the recruitment policy.

Luka was a vital cog in our machine and played a significant role in helping us to retain our PL position. He deserves gargantuan plaudits for his sterling efforts.

He leaves with my very best wishes for his contribution to the cause and I wish him every success for the future.

We were fortunate to have Luka and Jimmy Mac together at the peak of their careers, they provided the solid platform from which we could operate, now into our 11th season in the PL.
If I'm not mistaken he was top scorer one season, a total augmented by his ability from the penalty spot.
It looks like Doucoure and Hughes can provide a working model to emulate the success achieved by Luka and Jimmy Mac in their respective roles, so all is well.

Luka a master from the penalty spot.

Very sorry to be losing him, and of course Macca.

We'll struggle to replace them, it's a tricky one, do you rely on the tried and tested or take risks.

Will miss them.

Errrm I'm all one for a bit of sentiment, but we wont struggle to replace them.

One played 28 mins this season, and the other is a liability.

Has been a fantastic servant for the club. We're going to be busy looking for midfielders this summer I think!

Two really good servants to Palace, going on their way ,both have played a big part in maintaining Palace in this league.
Jimmy. Mac, even when up against world class opposition never let the side down. And Luka, gets a bit of stick ,very often for getting his foot in when everyone else were out of position, and what about those penalties, and free kicks he used to hammer home? Every team needs a Luka, fair enough both of these lads are past their best, but both deserve a lot respect for what they have done for the club.
In many respects they have already been replaced but they do leave space in the squad and it will be interesting to see how that space is used.

i loved Luka in his early days. But we need to be more ruthless when players go off the boil. Luka has been miles off the pace, of the Prem, for quite some time.

if i was a Championship manager i wouldnt buy him. After googling him, i discover he is only 32....which strikes me as a bit young to be looking so jaded. Can Luka resurrect like the Phoenix ?

remember Jason Puncheon. The club is more important than any one player.

thank you Luka for the loyal service and maybe we will see you in management one day.

Yes it’s a shame he lost that ability, once he wasn’t tucking the untold penalties we got away and he started giving the ball away so much in dangerous positions he was a fraction of the player.

Good luck to him though, we had a decent couple of seasons out of him
