Parish dithering time wasting endlessly, when other clubs are making decisions:

Roy is a "class act" despite what you think ... however, he is probably at point in his life where he may want to step back and enjoy a genuine retirement. After all, it's always nice to go out on a high.

Currently, there are some very good football managers available if Parish and Co get out their cheque book.

Surely this delay demonstrates that either Roy isnt in the frame, or that he isn't first choice.

If he was first choice, you'd think that this would have been sorted out at the end of last season. If only to stop all the awkward interviews asking Roy if he was staying etc.

Well Roy was very clear that right up to the Notts game he had not been asked the question. Surely whether he was first choice or not, he would have been asked if he wanted to be considered. Maybe that question has now been asked ,but the more time goes by without a statement on it ,it doesn’t seem likely.
It looks as if they are looking elsewhere, but where is the big question. I think we have to accept it’s a job that not everybody will want to take on. Top people want silverware, not likely. Up and coming , might see Vieras experience as a put off. It could get difficult . Just hope whoever it is we get lucky.

One thought - I wonder whether Moyes will be sacked after tonight's match irrespective of whether or not WH win and whether talks have already taken place with his agent. He's got the right credentials to manage Palace (yes I know there is the Wilf issue but the club's future is more important than Wilf).

I like that idea, let’s hope West Ham get silly, and it became possible.

W.Ham under Moyes have finished 6th, 7th and 14th in the last 3 seasons and of course have reached the final of the Europa Conference League.

Their Net Spend over the last 3 seasons has been circa £220 Mill, last season they bought Aguerd for a fee which could reach £30 Mill,Paqueta for a fee which could rise to £51 Mill, and Scamacca for a fee which could rise to £31 Mill.
He has been backed significantly in the Transfer Market.

Very good point, Poirot, that would explain the Wilf delay situation also.
