By Car

Leave the A1 at Dishforth and take the A19 into Teesside then onto A66 to the ground.

Parking
There are a lot of private car parks around the Riverside Stadium that charge £4 but you may have to wait up to 45 minutes to get out.

The town centre - 15-20 minute walk away - has long-term car parks you may want to use.

From the A66, you have two options. Either follow signs for Away Coaches, where you will pass a number of car parks or go past the Riverside Stadium and park up in the retail park.

By Train

Nearest Station
Middlesbrough - 10 min walk from the stadium.

From the station main entrance, turn left into Zetland Road, then another left into Albert Road and pass under a railway bridge. Take the first right and go into Bridge Street East, going past the Bridge pub - this is a bit moody for away fans! - and then right into Wynward Way, and the stadium is down here.

Check train times and tickets at The Trainline. For more information, call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

Where to Eat?

There's a recommended sandwich bar in Corporation Road, opposite Doctor Browns pub. A McDonald's can be found on the retail park nearby too.

Where to Drink?

There are no pubs or restaurants near the stadium, so head into town for a pint. Check out: Doctor Browns, (on Corporation Road) and 10-min walk away. The Bridge Inn next to the train station on Bridge Street.

If you like strippers, then there's the Tuxedo Royale strip bar - the white ship opposite the stadium on the River Tees. It's a £1 a pint before 1.30pm but striclty no away colours.

What's their ground like?

The impressive Riverside Stadium opened in August 1995 and sparked similar, bland "identi-kit" stadium designs for Sunderland and Derby County.

The Riverside has one tier, which curves around three sides of the ground and a larger West Stand on one side of the pitch housing a row of executive boxes.

Away fans are located in a corner of the South Stand behind the goal, which is shared with Boro fans. The away allocation is nearly 3,500, and the view and facilities are excellent.

What do they sing?

Have You Ever Seen A Geordie Lift A Cup?; When The Reds Go Marching In
Boro, Boro!

Songs to sing back

Sign on, sign on, with a pen in your hands....

Who do they hate?

Sunderland and Newcastle United.
