New forward Connor Wickham played 45 minutes against Dagenham
Crystal Palace lost their final pre-season friendly 1-0 at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Alan Pardew's men go into Saturday's Premier League opener against Norwich having only beaten Barnet, Bromley and SuperSport United over the summer.
New signing Connor Wickham made his first appearances in a Palace shirt - getting 45 minutes under his belt - alongside fellow new striker Patrick Bamford.
The Eagles were dealt an injury blow after six minutes when Fraizer Campbell collided with a Daggers player and he was replaced by Jake Gray.
Although the Essex club hit the bar, impressive home keeper Mark Cousins made a series of top saves to deny Wickham and Bamford twice each, Brede Hangeland and Chung-yong Lee.
But Dagenham scored the only goal of the game on 75 minutes when Aaron McLean rifled home on the rebound after Alex McCarthy parried Ashley Chambers's effort.
Palace: McCarthy, Kelly, Hangeland (O’Dwyer 60), Croll, Scales, Dymond, Lee (Bissaka 68), Kaikai (Breimyr 68), Bamford, Wickham (Anderson 46), Campbell (Gray 8, Allassani 78).
Not used: Kettings.
