Team news

Crystal Palace centre half Mamadou Sakho comes back into the side after sitting out the match at Liverpool under the terms of his loan deal from the Reds.

He will replace James Tomkins who is set to miss the rest of the campaign with a leg injury after a rash challenge by Liverpool's Marko Grujic at the end of Sunday's game.

Palace boss Sam Allardyce may decide to rotate his team after an intense workout against Liverpool and ahead of Saturday's Burnley fixture.

Tottenham left back Danny Rose is still not available due to a knee injury, with Ben Davies set to play instead. Erik Lamela (hip), Harry Winks (ankle) and goalkeeper Michel Vorm (knee) are all injured.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"We're still mathematically not out of trouble and I think it shows just how much the players have done to fight and have the desire to get out of the predicament they were in, with my guidance.

"They have grasped it superbly well and have done an outstanding job, it has to be one of the best run of results in the long career I've had as a manager in the Premier League.

"To have accumulated victories against Chelsea away, Liverpool away, outstanding victories and of course Arsenal at home, and then the comeback against Leicester and before that the edgy win against Watford, and Middlesbrough.

"I just hope they don't come off the gas. There's a natural tendency sometimes to [do that] if you think you're safe. We took advantage at West Brom; they'd hit 40 points and we won 2-0 and I think Tony [Pulis] afterward said his players had come off the gas. That can happen, I just hope the game is big enough on Wednesday for the lads not to do that."

Mauricio Pochettino

"All different games will be tough games. This is most difficult because it's our next game. They [Palace] are playing very well. They have very good players.

"You can see in the last few weeks how they play. If you are able to beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, it's because you are full of confidence and have a lot of quality.

"That is why we are aware and we must give our best to try to get the three points. We are fighting for the Premier League to be at the end, if it's not possible to catch Chelsea to be in the top four. The next six games are all finals.

"I think Crystal Palace have a tight stadium and the fans are so warm, intense and it will be special. They are in a very good run and we are fighting for the title. It will be a very interesting game on and off the pitch."
