Team news

Palace striker Connor Wickham is the only injury concern for Roy Hodgson. Midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate turned his ankle against Tottenham and had to be substituted last time out, but has made a full recovery.

Wolves centre half Willy Boly is back after serving a one-game league ban. Striker Patrick Cutrone impressed in the Europa League and could keep his place.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"This is a home game against a team in the same portion of the table as we are, and it is important to try and get the three points. I think they have been a bit unlucky.

"I watched the game last night [in the Europa League] and they were clearly the better side, and I would base my judgement more on the football they play, rather than the results and say it was another bad result.

"They have obviously not got the start they would have wanted. They have had a few disappointing results, particularly the home defeat against Chelsea and again last night, and I am sure they will be upset about the cruelty of fate.

"I watched last night and if a team was going to win, I thought it would be them, so to come away from that with a defeat will be a bitter blow.

"But it shouldn't affect their confidence as a team, because I thought they played very well and that they are playing every bit as well, watching the game, as they did last season.

"And I fully expect them to get points in the bag very soon, because they are a strong side, but I just hope they will wait until after our game on Sunday to do so."

Nuno Espirito Santo

"Crystal Palace are a very, very tough team; a team that has been playing with each other for a while now, they have a lot of complexities between them, good players, so it’s going to be tough, especially in a stadium that is tough to play against.

"We’re going to have to go there and challenge ourselves, but Palace is tough. There’s no easy game in football.

"[Last season’s win at Palace] can give us something to work, but they came here to Molineux and they won, so this is about the team, what is Crystal Palace now and where can I find their weakness so we can repeat what we did last season."
