Story so far

The Eagles go into the match on Saturday in fine form - unbeaten at home this season and flying high in 6th position in the Premier League.

The next five games though could change everything - matches against teams who are placed higher in the League - Manchester City, Arsenal, Leicester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

City haven't been as invincible as last season though, with surprise defeats against Norwich and Wolves. Liverpool have compounded their misery by stretching their lead over them by eight points at the top of the table.

Palace have also had their share of heartache already this season, losing 4-0 to Tottenham Hotspur and also being defeated by newcomers Sheffield United - so who knows what Palace team will turn up on Saturday at 5.30pm.

Team news

Mamadou Sakho is a doubt for the game, after missing the last couple of games with a strain. Martin Kelly and Gary Cahill are likely to continue in central defence in his absence. James Tomkins and Christian Benteke will have to settle for places on the bench after securing extensions to their contracts.

Connor Wickham is still not fit to play.

Manchester City - Pep Guardiola is hopeful for the return of a number of key players for the televised clash at Selhurst Park - Sergio Aguero was involved in a car crash on Tuesday but the Argentine emerged unscathed, meaning he is fit for selection.

Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones trained earlier in the week suggesting they will also be available for selection.

Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, and Oleks Zinchenko all impressed during games for their respective countries in the last week, and will also be available for selection.
