With Sakho going back to Pool, and now we are sitting around while the new man gets his feet under the table(Very good appointment)the one player we should be snapping up to build our defence around next season after a stand out performance for us last season and hence the chance of being competative next season seems to be slipping through the fingers yet again,Surely we all saw how good he is,we need the class ,please go and buy him!!!

I'm probably one of many thinking that as Klopp continues to splash out the cash we may eventually get our man at a good price as Liverpool try to recoup some of their expenditure.

We all love Sakho, but need to remember that Sakho was signed by big Sam. FDB may have different plans. A problem that was pointed out by Liverpool fans that Sakho good at defending in a compact group. He major problem was that he got caught high up the field and his positioning was poor. That said, still love him to sign.

Would love him in the team next season but I can't see it happening at all. 30m is ridiculous money for us to spend. We could spend that money more wisely. Then there's the wages. He would have to take a pay cut, which he may do if he wants to come. He is also reported as saying that he wants to play in the Champions League this coming season and OK that's what he wants but who would buy him at that price. I'd pay 15m with add ons but not what Klopp wants. We need to strengthen and the defence is where to start but I just don't think we are going to spend that kind of money and I don't think we should or need to.

As far as I know, the situation has always been that the price is a bit higher than we're willing to pay. However quickly we got any manager in, I doubt we'd be getting Sakho unless we haggled the price down at the end of the window.

Question here is would Sakho suit the type of game (probably high line) that FdB may opt for. Apparently he did not suit this at Liverpool. No doubting that he is a terrific defender by the way.

I would be really worried that can he really get over this injury we dodged a bullet with Y B after his injury we got good money for him and now another long term injury gutted for him but if we spend 30 M on Sakho it comes with a significant risk should we quit whilst ahead?

I looked at an email I received in Apr 14 from a person in football regards Sakho and he remarked "Doesn't appear too comfortable in possession". He also remarked he was strong and good aerially.
