I could not see another chat about Patrick but was watching the villa game again and he was terrible defensively. Doesnt track back or get onto good defensive positions. I would love to see him on the wing or in a more attacking position! I would rather see jairo there and the 2 jimmies in midfield next match! I know jairo is better in midfield but we need more defensive sense in our fullbacks!

I actually like PVA ... but not as a defender. I think ROY has the view that PVA will run down the flank with the ball and hes even scored the odd goal, sometimes our only goal. COYP

He is not invisible - you can normally see him in the corner of your screen jogging back towards where he should be!

Been a total liability recently. Even when he has ventured forward his delivery or link up play has been terrible. He gives the ball away far too often and then is left stranded out of position.

So I see I'm not the only one who is very frustrated by this? When is his contract up, I heard it was this summer if so perhaps he's just playing to get a more elsewhere. I really feel that jairo would be a better option! Don't mind pva playing further forward position but no longer defensively.

He is a one trick pony, which is the early intercept of an attempted ball to the wing (admittedly he does this well). However, he then gallops up field, screws his pass up and let’s them break past him whilst he is totally out of position. He would make a good left sided midfielder for a championship club. He should definitely not be a left back for a PL club. Watch what happens to the centre halfs when he goes missing. The left side CH gets dragged out of position, the right sided CH gets sucked in to cover the middle and sure enough Ward or Clyne get drawn in and leave a gaping hole at the back post. When you couple this with ball watching midfielders who end up marking space rather than tracking players and you end up with a recipe for disaster. This is all basic stuff though and I can understand why a few on here want Schlupp at left midfield because when he is, PVA gets better cover. You can’t really blame Eze either as left midfield is not really his strong suit, nor is defending.

Watch the third goal. He’s barely in our half when they score. Absolutely 100% the position he needs to be busting a gut to get back to and influence the game. Beyond belief at this level. Never mind when looking for a contract. Fat Sam wouldn’t give him a second glance on that show. With Leicester’s Full back/wing back system please don’t let him play tomorrow
