Did anyone watch this game as there was a large Palace St Georges flag right by the corner flag in the Rangers end. It could be seen very easy each the the ball was near there. It said Palace Loyal with the Palace logo and SE25 on it. Can anyone shed some light why it was there? Is there a Palace Rangers connection or just some Scottish Palace supporters who went to the game? Please see photo. Attachment: CPFC.jpg (160.74Kb)

My daughter lives in Glasgow and has come across a group of Palace fans up there that call themselves Crystal Haggis. May be that group? There used to be a Crystal Palace Indian restaurant up there - not sure if it's still going - and I found this headline "Shish Mahal – Glasgow’s Crystal Palace; Home to the Chicken Tikka Masala" while browsing. Also, the main building in their Botanical Gardens looks like the original Crystal Palace. It has the same architect.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Take it from me guys, we don't want to be associated with The Rangers in any shape or form. They are a bigoted, toxic, blight on football. I live in Edinburgh and can confirm that their support is full of neanderthal bottom feeders. Keep well clear.

The British hating, Irish loving, remembrance day haters or the Irish hating Union of Great Britain side. Due to the continuation of hate there are no winners here.

As someone who supplies merchandise to the Big Apple Bears (NYC Rangers FC) I have to say I find them a pretty decent bunch & for the record I also supply NYCSC (Celtic FC) & by & large they are a pretty decent bunch also. The real vermin are the IRA supporting Celtic mob who drink in Jack Demsey's

I know and have worked with supporters of both sides of the divide and found many to be decent folk. It is the majority, from both sides, who embrace the bigotry that are the problem. Taking players or managers from either side is not a problem, it is being associated with their support that would bring no joy. Up here they are known as two cheeks of the same arse. In SE25 we tend to avoid all that sectarian b01lix. Considering the historical huge numbers of Irish living in our massive - since at least the 1700's. And equally i would say we don't have much time for Glasgow Celtic....the other cheek of the same sectarian @rse. The only English team that Martin McGuinness liked ? That was Manchester United. And Londoner Shane McGowan supported Everton. Flags & colours apart.....the real clue is in what songs you hear on the terraces. Palace are red, white & blue....but its not the same as Rangers. If Clinton Morrison was born in Glasgow, he would never support Rangers.

One of my favourite pub moments was when a Jock in a Rangers shirt walked over to our table singing anti catholic songs. Many of my friends are catholic well before they could react a Big Glasgow Jock grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and told him to take his Sectarian bigotry back to Scotland, boot up arse and he left the pub Western style (flat on his face). The thing is he my big mate was also a Rangers fan and he hated Celtic but he wasn't going to let that idiot get away with that.
