I think he'll get to Messi/Ronaldo levels. That is all.

What a player. I agree Ginger.
We have just witnessed the emergence of the next superstar. He is awesome.
Sarri will be a laughing stock down the road from me shortly. I mean how can he not play him?
And we have also got Sancho. Fur us Bulldogs, the future is very bright.
Such a shame Wilf opted for Cote d'Ivoire. Can you imagine him on one wing and Odoi on the other?
Then there is Sterling Kane etc. etc. Wilf really missed out. He would be right up there flying high with England.

We shouldn't get too carried away with young England players, they tend to peak at the very start of their career then go down hill

Walcott, lennon and SWP looked worldbeaters when they first emerged, Dele Ali and Ross Barley looked class but have become a tad mediocre

Gave the ball away a lot. Including when we scored the Kane break-away goal, was "got out of jail" by his team mates, and ended up with a (partial) assist.
Tried a few bloody stupid balls that put team mates under pressure.
Didn't defend the cross that led to their goal.
Defiantly one for the future, but not sure he should be first pick against the better sides.

you can see he has extraordinary perceptions of time and space -- and the skills to exploit them.

I hope he leaves that Chelsea team as soon as he can. there's a poison at the heart of Chelsea. Just play lad.

Surely those negatives are just a lack of maturity and inexperience?

Absolutely agree, but I don't think international football is the best place to gain both, for the sake of the team and the player.

I've not seen anything to suggest he's special or worthy of the place the press demand he has at Chelsea yet. Saying he'll be as good as Messi is a bit bold. He looked ok on the ball, but without it he wasn't even average. I'd go as far as to say s***.

Declan Rice shouldn't have played as he's an IRA supporting turncoat, but that said he looked very good albeit against a s*** team.

it's his awareness, and skill to exploit it, that will set him apart. i appreciate it's a bold call.
