I mean WTF!!! Why aren't clubs buying? Everton hasn't made a bid, Nice pulled out cause they don't have money to buy from the Premier League. It would take another Premier League club to pay the fee. From the 14 outside of the big 6 I expect one to rapidly make a bid!

He'd be a bargain for even 20 million. Easily one of the best right footed attacking players I've seen. Will develop incredibly in the next years. It's just baffling to me how the people at United can't see this. It's like Chicharito, Welbeck and di Maria all over again.

Depay was just so good in the Netherlands that no other player had ever had his goals and assists per minutes played percentage. And he was just 18-19 when he established himself at PSV. And his first games at United were very good. Has everyone forgotten that? The trashing of FC Brugge 7-1 and the qualification to the Champions League?

He didn't do so well in the Premier League, I admit. But he didn't do horribly either. It was hard for him in the first year, he had to adjust. People are saying he's spoiled and doesn't run enough, but I've seen him play and I thought he presses a lot, recovers, runs fast. He's still a starter in the national team and the dutch see him as the best prospect for the future 10 years.

I'd buy him in a jiffy if I had 20 million. And I hear they might even sell him for 10.

GET THIS GUY!!!!!!!!

Well, at the rIsk of having another argument with you, where did you hear they would sell him for10 million?

Just wondering because given the inflated cost of players, I am surprised that a Dutch international is available for so little even given the state of their national side. Especially when you consider Brentford just rejected a £10 million bid for Scott Hogan.

Loan with 10 million option to buy. This is what they're trying to get. The club is very poor compared to Palace or other Premier League teams. But for a team like United...what's another 10 million?

I had no argument with you. You kept insisting that Souare is a good offensive player, better that van Aanholt. I pointed out the impossibility of that and yet you kept going. You asked me where you had said such a thing although I had just highlighted it on the previous page and I refused to further talk.

I don't hold grudges either.

Seems like it could be more like £20m:

And with wages presumably north of 90k a week for someone who hasn't proven themselves yet at Premier level that would prove a gamble for a lot of clubs

Indeed, and that probably explains the lukewarm interest.

Love him! Love his 'Zahaesque' skills and the way he bumps defenders off the ball. Love him!

Could reach a deal for £12-15m straight away, no loan. IS WORTH IT!

Don't know if for Palace, as Zaha is here, but definitely will be one the best in the PL in 1-2-3 years

Maybe because Football Manager is a game and not real.

I think we're still waiting for you to tell us how you know the names of 100+ players who are unhappy and available for less than 10m. Or, are you just going to get abusive again, rather than actually answer the question?

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

No you didn't you highlighted where I said he was Souare-esque. It may be lost in translation but that means similar style, in this case a better attacker than he is a defender.

Also, FWIW, in another thread I also stated that I had not watched much of van Aarnholt and was surprised that my Mackem friend wasn't a particularly big fan - due to consistency.

Anyway, like you, I would be pleased with Depay but would be amazed if it was for anything like £8.5 million you suggested and would expect it to be at least double that
