I have heard from friends of mine from people in low places (the USSF) that at the upcoming FIFA meeting in June there is gathering momentum for moving World Cup and avoiding a possibly fractious vote on the 2026. The rumours are to move 2022 to the USA/Mexico/Canada and grant the 2026 Cup to Morocco. This move seems to be the wish of Saudi Arabia, which wants to quarantine Qatar. There are rumours about England for 2022 but that would violate FIFA's rotation policy. The one stumbling block is that FIFA wants assurances that US immigration policy will not affect entry from qualifying nations. While the Trump Administration has given those assurances for the 2026 bid, it is highly unlikely he will be in office then due to Constitutional term limits regarding the Presidency. However, it is quite possible he will be in office in 2022 since he will run for re-election in 2020.

No chance. A bit like Morocco's chances of winning a bid against the other 3, despite 2 of them hosting a World Cup fairly recently. The rotation policy is nonsense anyway:

Never going to take it away from Qatar, too much dirt to allow that to happen.

I thought the rotation policy was cancelled with Blatter. BTW where is he? Morocco has a chance but 2 Arab countries I a row?

Money talks and the Saudis won't be shy about offering the right inducements...just like the Qataris before them. Sports and politics don't mix. Funny how that mantra seems to have disappeared in recent years.
