For anyone interested in this I just want to recommend this video by 'Binkov's Battlegrounds' on this emerging trade war. It is the first time I've seen a completely unbiased analysis of consequences and options for the two sides since the discord started.

Its all finger in the air stuff. Depends on if Trump is still about or there is another war anywhere in the world!! All I know is China has a very large population to keep happy and under control in its communist style, upset the people and the country could go down quickly.

USA 0 China 1 on penalties aet. Not much effect as both sides re-adjust as the war goes on. USA in the naughty chair as they started it. How long? Until the next President. The video does bring a new term 'economic mutually assured destruction' if it all gets out of hand and escalates from a trade war. So lots to look forward to from Trumptons.

Your puerile response to nearly every thread, is amusing, but predictable

No one loses big was the ultimate conclusion with China being at considerable risk if Europe follow the US and you come up with US 0 China 1. Trump is slowing a China, which has been increasingly aggressive. Fifth columnists like you wouldn't be allowed to spread your opinion there.....but you would in the US. Lenin had a certain phrase for people like this. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Aug 2018 5.26pm)

Or instead it could turn into North Korea. It would have no moral objections.

The USA is resorting to protectionism because it is no longer competitive. Let me give an example:- I want a new laptop premium quality 2 yrs guarantee etc. let us say Dell cost would be around £1500 if I shop around usually a lot more. I can source a Huawei from China same specification 2 yrs guarantee and most importantly premium build quality sent to my door within 7 days no irritating third party bits to add it is all included. How much? £650 max often cheaper, that's right a fraction of the price of the USA one. And with identical, if not better quality, it has completely changed.

Agreed, they have been exporting their inflation (dollars) in return for tangible goods for decades now........but times are a'changing. Interesting stuff imo

What does most enterprise and online software run on, laptops or servers? I'll take Dell, thanks. In fact, we do. Extensively.

Do you really want the Chinese as well as the Palace-supporting world knowing what bollocks you come up with?
