You are mistaken. Births have been steady at around 735-750,000 per year for the last 40 years. The big rise was in the 60's. Deaths, however, have seen a huge dip - around 13% - in those same 40 years.

I will check these stats but regardless, it makes little difference.

Just checked some more figures: In the last decade since 2006 there have been nearly 2million more births than deaths. If I added the rest from 1980 onwards it looks like that would be another 3 mill on top.

The birth rate having remained pretty steady since 2004 and not hugely different all the way back to the seventies. No obvious significant spikes.

"Britain granted asylum protection to 14,065 people in 2014"

Hardly a swamping Re:asylum.

Population growth over the last few decades since 1980 is driven by a variety of factors. Old age seems to be the biggest reason not immigration but happy to be corrected.

ERM I would check that if I was you Kermit.....I think you will find its nearer... 240,000

So for you, the immigration surge and the projected figures for population increase are just a scaremongering fantasy?

You do realise that migrants have more children on average than the existing population?

You do realise that a notable drop in birth rate does not cause an instant drop in population?

Could be. My figures were from the census. Not sure how accurate that is.

What about the ones who were not granted asylum.... Where are they.....conservative estimate s put it at about 1 million illegal immigrants.

It does if all things are constant but of course they never are. And a 1 month old isn't going to work for another 18 years. Less of them will mean less school places and medical care.

We will have a population of over 70mill in 10-15 years. It's the oldies that are the main problem going by the official figures.

Euthanasia at 80. Job done.
