I am a New Yorker who will be making my first trip to Selhurst (and England in general) in a month for the Spurs match. I'll be in London for a week, and am looking for any and all suggestions for activities to do/places to check out. Any leads towards places to visit pre-/post-match would be specifically helpful. I look forward to finally making it over, and hopefully sharing a pint with some fellow Eagles supporters.

Good food, local beers, a good atmosphere and plenty of palace on a match day. You can then walk to the ground from there in about 35 mins.

see most of the London sights in around an hour, without any walking. art galleries and music venues abound. Recommend you get yourself an Oyster Card from a local shop and load it up with about £50. That should be your local travel sorted on buses and tube train and trains for the week. Google stuff that you're interested in. There'll be a place in London that does it. Bring cash ££££.
