I very much suspect that had Eze and Olise played regularly this season and Doucoure hadn't suffered a long-term injury, there would have been no debate apropos the tenure of the manager and no protests aimed at the Board and Steve Parish.

Mr Hodgson is of course fully aware of the feelings of our supporters and I can only conclude that it must be hurtful and discomforting for him. I recognise his achievements in ensuring we have stayed in the PL season on season and whenever he does depart he can do so with his head held high.

Exactly right Willo.

1. It increasingly feels like the injuries to Olise and Eze could have been better managed by Roy. He has publicly stated repeated times that the medical team were urging him to manage their return. Despite saying that he has seemed to rush them back at every occasion. We had far fewer injuries during Vieira's tenure too. Is it how the team train under Roy? We had awful injury problems in his previous tenure too.

2. He had everyone's respect in his previous tenure. He had it for what he did last season. He's aware the fans have had enough this season so if he doesn't resign that's up to him, but if things don't improve everything that went before will be quickly forgotten.

There is no doubt Roy has been unlucky with injuries to key players, we don’t have players anywhere near the standard to replace.

Roy won’t be sacked, as we can’t afford to sack him, he isn’t going to walk away, as he has a huge bonus on the horizon.

Whilst this may be true , it’s not necessarily helpful at this juncture.
We have to face where we are and ‘what if’s’ and excuses won’t win us forthcoming points .
Many clubs have had as bad , if not worse, injury problems than us this season.
I’m sure the excuse will then be they have better squads.
More excuses.

If we’re not careful we’ll win the competition for the relegated club with best excuses.
Even with our injuries I’d take our squad ahead of Sheffield United, Burnley , Luton and possibly Brentford.
Show some resilience and determination and don’t cave in as we have done in recent games.
We shows signs of being defeated before even before stepping on the field.

There's usually one club that hits dreadful form in February and plummets.

I guess 2024 is our year.

There are always extenuating circumstances for every club and I accept that injuries are part and parcel of football.

When such key quality players are unavailable for long periods it can have a devastating effect.Clubs are not too adversely affected if they have large squads and players that are not pivotal to their success are absent.

One can accuse me of making "Excuses", to my mind I am merely stating what I believe has been damaging to our team this season and could continue to have an adverse affect on our results.
Every club can analyse their seasons and draw conclusions.

I’m honestly not being critical here, but the response exactly encapsulates what I was highlighting in my post.
However, it’s dressed up, and even if valid, they are excuses and they won’t win us future points.
You approach a game looking at what you have got ,not bemoaning what you haven’t got;that’s a pretty futile exercise.

Like it or not, Hodgson's tactics are only a small part of our current predicament.
I just hope that the fans recognise the importance of solidarity and get behind the team on Monday. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of faith in the reasoning skills of the self important Holmesdale mob.

Hodgson may be only part of the problem - and I would argue that it is not a small part - but it is the one that can be realistically addressed now. Nothing is happening on the board level for the forseeable future; no more players can be brought in; and unless we get Jesus on the medical staff we are going to be short of crucial players

I don't think the fans have turned on the team per se, although Andersen has done himself no favours by antagonizing then whilst performing poorly. It just is that players like Hughes and Schlupp contribute nothing of any utility to the team yet get trotted out week after week
