I think it is scandalous that recently some teams have had to play Thursday and Sunday. It is obviously all about the TV money in this greed league!!! I noticed quite a few on here were criticising Man United's performance today and saying how good Swansea were. Well United had put everything into their Derby game against City last Thursday and are also currently decimated by injuries, meaning that quite a few of their players are playing pretty much every game. If anything i think Swansea missed out on a chance of putting more pressure on ourselves and Hull, by failing to win today

It is absurd but the PL dances to music of TV money and that's the way it is! We didn't have to lose to Burnley yesterday but I suppose we could also blame that on meeting the schedules for 3 televised games in 7 days. Edited by Henry of Peckham (30 Apr 2017 10.42pm)

It is absolutely bonkers to expect finely tuned fit and healthy sportsmen to work 3 hrs out of 72. Truly scandalous indeed. The Tour De France (clean) riders do five hours in the saddle, every day for three weeks but I bet they couldn't run, jog, walk around a football pitch for 90 mins twice in three days. No sir-ee

It will serve them right if next week Swansea lose and Hull win; in that case our heavily marketed crunch decider against Hull will be a dead rubber.

It's not particularly fair for the side who have had just two rest days. At this level that extra 5% makes a huge difference, Palace looked very drained vs Burnley and that was to be expected. That said, you would expect this to even out to some extent over the season, for example when we played Leicester between their Champions League matches. You expect the big clubs with their larger squads to cope as they're used to the busy schedule at this time of the season. Just read Mourinhos comments with Utd playing 9 games in Apr and if they get the the Europa League final it could be 7 more by the 24th May, they will have Southampton on Wed, us Sunday and the final on Wed. He says he might be forced to play with the U23 squad against us so let's hope they beat Celta Vigo. I suspect now we've caught up with our games in hand and are on a level playing field, we should see some improved performances

If our squad depth was better we could have rested key players but do not have this luxury. It is not just the exertion of playing these games so close together but lack of time for injuries to recover. As someone previously said now the backlog us out of the way we can see improved performance. We are also forgetting that we have lost 3 centre backs and for any team that is hard to deal with. One if which (Sakho) pivotal to our upturn. Who would be a manager!!

Explain 'match sharp'? Do you mean 'focussed' or lack of? That's nothing to do with two games in four days. That is attitude.
