He has served us well but like Hennessey is not a premiership keeper. In fact I prefer Hennessey, Jules was slow to both Sanchez shots and is not dominating enough in the air. I say play Wayne until we buy someone better.

The guy is the best GK we have ever had since he joined .. He’s my first choice and is way better than a lot of Prem keepers out there, I stand by him .. he is a rock

We've said goodbye to two younger keepers who've proven not good enough to replace him and Hennessey is heading towards the same group despite a significant age and height advantage.

Why not direct your criticism at that useless lump of c--p masquerading as our centre forward instead of someone who gives 100% and to be honest didn't get a great deal of help from his defence tonight.

Bring back Brolin

Way too harsh.
Speroni wasnt at fault tonight and he made a very good save.

I was thinking to myself, if Hennessey had been in goal he would have been slated on here for Arsenal's second and third goal.

I think some on here have an ultra idealistic view of what keepers should be doing for us, they cant perform miracles every save. Goals can and do get scored, theres a reason strikers cost more than any other player.

We've got two solid PL standard keepers and Waynes waiting in the wings, theres not much difference between the two.
If we can get a world class keeper in the Jan transfer window, great, if not we will do ok with the two we have.

I think you are wrong. Speroni is a very good PL keeper. He saved at least 3 today. His rating would be a 7 today. I don't think most PL players would have got a touch to some of the shots today, including Hennessey, who is not better than Speroni, according to the stats and Roy. I would go as far as to stick with Speroni even if we buy a new keeper in January, and Hennessey would lose his place on the bench! It's hard to make people 'get it' sometimes, even when you show them the numbers...

I think he’s been doing OK since his first-team recall. He was no worse than the Arsenal fellow tonight. There are only five or six Premier keepers playing better than Jules.

at least 2 of the arsenal goals were extremely difficult to stop and maybe unstoppable.

3 goals conceded and yet still i believe speroni is our best option. Put hennessey into the goal tonight and our goal difference would be down another five or six goals....and Wales are out of the world cup.

Benteke was the waste of space. Speroni is the man until we sign somebody proven good.

Jules is not to blame for the timid display in the first half. Sanchez is quality and he can score on any PL keeper, including the "sainted" De Gea. I missed the 2nd half but from all I've read and heard Palace put in a much better performance than the first. Unless a better keeper can be brought in, for the moment Jules should be the first choice. What is needed is more performances like the one at Leicester.

I have no idea why you blame Speroni for this, Arsenal played really well, best I have seen them this season and we still had as much chances as they had. Zaha's header (of his shoulder) should have been a clear goal. No matter what goalie we had tonight they would have scored 3.
