I think today's performance is the sort of thing he wanted to see, so probably on the same page with FDB now. Still think it was an average Burnley team which made our 'possession' football look good. The defence is alright, it's the lack of penetration upfront which is the problem. That's despite the number of attempt on goal. Really missed Zaha. With him and RLC back we can hope, but realistically next week is our only real chance to chalk something up before November sets in.

We are exactly where we deserve to be. Win 3-0 against Soton then we will deserve to be where we are at the end of that game. Parish is somewhat deluded. Just because we have a better squad on paper than some does not make us a better team which is what he is implying.

He has done great things for this club since taking over and has backed all of his managers until now with sometimes questionable buys. However in my opinion he has reached his peak with what he can do for CPFC. He has taken us very far but is at his limit. The gap between the top and bottom half in this division is greater than ever before and it is very clear to see that we are a very small club that is struggling to compete and unless some major investment comes in this will continue to be the case. Don't blame Parish alone the fact is we do not have the funds nor the infrastructure to be spending 50-60 mil a season on new players. What he should have done is put the likes of Kelly, lee, Damo and co up for sale and market them actively as being available etc or in Damo's case just release him. This would then free up funds to buy players that we need (GK,CF etc). I read the other day that Man City are making 500 mil a day that is being pumped into the club. We cannot compete with that. For those that have been here long enough you all know that these are the glory days of being a Palace fan. So until a rich Chinese consortium comes in or an oil magnate Parish is the best we have so continue to pray that he does his best and we keep punching above our weight. Anyone who thinks we should be up there challenging for Europe etc is deluded.
