We may need Olise to carry the team, so unless there is a release clause and we have to sell then we definitely should not sell. I love Eze, but Olise is another level and younger. If there's no release clause then he's a £100m player by the end of the season if he stays fit, so we'd be daft to sell.

The Athletic is reporting Olise is out for at least the whole of January.
It has to be a concern how many injuries he picks up.
I'm sure he's missed games for the beginning of each season since joining us too.

We seem heavily reliant on him so need an alternative strategy when he is unavailable as seems to be a regular occurrence.

Looks like we'll go through the first 6 months of the season able to field Eze and Olise together on only a few occasions.

Taking into account that Zaha has not been replaced and that Ayew will miss January too, the club will surely be negligent if it doesn't strenghten with first team ready player(s) asap.

Not if he has played his last game of the season

To sell in this window and then speculate on Championship players to fill the gap/s isn't sensible in my opinion.

What if he dosent play again this season, which i would say is 50/50, shrewd businessman buy and sell at the right time

Zaha is the perfect way to turn 50m into sweet FA

It looks like we are limping through the middle part of the season once again so we need to keep our best players for the remainder of the seaon.
I also think that Michael has a real chance of making the French squad for the Euros this summer and that he will be concentrating on playing regularly to maximise his chances.
This also applies to the selling of any of our top players before the finals if we are to make the most out of any of these deals.

Don't forget to factor in the income generated by staying up.

That's what we want to keep our best players for. Worked in Zaha’s case.

If his injury is bad enough to keep him out for the season (which I don't believe it is) then there's no chance we'd be selling him in this window as no one would be buying.

Sounds like the release clause kicks in for the summer window at which point on current form I'd guess he'll be able to choose between some of the best teams in Europe.

Most high impact sports today are about squad rotation and man management skills to achieve long term season success! I think Leicester PL winning team is a prime example of riding a few players very hard week in and week out but these examples are few and far between in modern sports!

Roy has squeezed out 5 wins, learnt little about fringe players, contributed to a long injury list, and appears to have done little through words or actions to positively impact the younger players!

The more worrying part of above was his reasoning for keeping Michael on the pitch until the final whistle! Very strange for a man of his CV so to speak! That said I am in the camp it’s best to continue with the status quo until the end of the season as the horse has now well and truly bolted!

All I ask is we make the appointment soon after season ends to allow the rebuild we need in terms of squad make up and progressive tactics!

This has been spoken about a lot but IMO there's a lot of 20:20 hindsight going on.

I don't know the stats but it was a must win game for a side / fans shredded of confidence and we were wobbling in the last few minutes. If either of Brentford's late chances had gone in we would have folded IMO.

No decent manager, under the circumstances, would have subbed their best / only outlet who'd put in an MOM performance and was on a run of good form.

We've got some difficult games to end the season so we need to find our form soon. Who's waving their cheque book for Olise now so we can buy two or three experienced PL players in this window? We could struggle and lose him anyway in a few months.

We are bereft of foresight, planning in the modern game , and managing our squad through injuries. We seem to be in a crisis the whole time. I just hope our latest casualty is back soon. But as Lanzo says it’s probably 50/50. eg we haven’t got a clue or even if we have it is not being shared with the fans.
