Hope Roy reads this, it will give him a good laugh. Why? Wilf and Andros have played as a front 2 in 6 matches this season including the 2-1 win over Chelsea.

I would start with Wilf and Andros up front against Bournemouth, they would have a field day against that defence. Supported by LC in front of the midfield. The Vitality pitch seems small to me, play narrow and we get the win we are after. If it doesn’t work after 60 minutes then bring Tekkers on, because he does not deserve a starting place, just my thought...

Yeah, I agree that Benteke should be on the bench. You'd think with a World Cup slot up for grabs, he would at least try harder, but he just looks devoid of any confidence. I must say that the chance he had against Liverpool was hard because Andros's pass to him was really crap.

If you think constantly slagging a player off is going to make him play better on saturday and help our cause, then you ought to think again! I would rather post nothing than slag a player off and knock his confidence so he has even less chance of scoring the important goals we need, but his all round game isn"t that bad, defends well and wins most headers to bring other"s in to play, if you deny that then i imagine you don"t go to the games or even watch on tv! I go to all home and most aways but even if I hadn’t been once this season I could tell you that Benteke hasn’t been doing his job. Stats don’t lie. He’s a goal scorer and has scored two goals. You can try and defend that all you like. But you’ll be wrong. So save yourself the effort. Aren’t you the bloke who is downing Sørloth as being not good enough, despite him being much more of a goal scoring threat than Benteke in his few appearances?

That will need someone willing to buy Benteke. Some other team "Villa" will be the one who goes in for him Rudi, no doubt mate. Do you think he'll ever score before the end of the season.??

Nearly every chance we have to score it's falling to Benteke, it's all getting abit tiresome seeing him not putting it away for now anyway. Hopefully Sorloth is fit enough to play at Bournemouth if not i don't no what will happen on the day.

Nothin against sorloth, except the way he minces over to a player with the ball from behind or the side and doesn"t try and tackle, get stuck in, now if benteke did that you might be mentioning it on here im guessing!

The answer is going to be no! Well that is where we are with Tekkers, we have persevered with him and it is really starting to hurt us now. There are 6 games left against the so called lesser teams. If he doesn’t score in any of those games would you be wanting him to start next season up front for Palace?

Parish's failure in the transfer market to bring in viable alternatives pre-season has given Hodgson no choice but to play him - he should have been axed after the previous Bournemouth game, perhaps now is the chance for Roy to make up for lost time. Edited by southnorwoodhill (04 Apr 2018 1.57pm)

Not strictly relevant to this thread but Kachunga whom you mentioned earlier as an attacking option for Huddersfield is now out for the season. This is significant as he was fairly good for them, and it's a good bit of karma given what happened with Wilf, and that their fans appeared to be delighted upon learning that Wilf might miss last week's fixture with Liverpool due to their thuggishness.
