Bottom three tonight are the three promoted clubs. Maybe the gap is getting bigger between premier and 2nd tier.

And long may it continue!

I flippin' well hope so, then we'll be in the Prem in perpetuity!

On the Schlupp debate there were times in the first half he won the ball in the Fulham half and had some time but headed back to the Palace end. He did not give it away but with his pace you kind of hope he takes the game on in these situations.
Hopefully it won't be to long before we get Olise back and can then switch Ayew to the left with Eze in the middle and we will have better options in final third.

If only I had a tenner for every time over the years a Palace fan has said: "hopefully it won't be long before we get (insert player name) back..."

Schlupp is a player who is mis understood by most. He is fast, good ball control and solid. He is very versatile and happy to do exactly what the manager tells him. There were two or three moments yesterday when he had a chance to run alone into open space (which he is good at) but instead turned back into our midfield. This must have been part of our game plan, which I rarely understand because i constantly want excitement.
My view is that pro football other than at the very top level (say top six clubs) is becoming very frigid. Roy is a master of reading games and collecting points. Mostly boring football but it keeps a mid table team in the middle of the table. We do what it says on the tin.
Problem is, we all want to stay in the premier, but we dont watch Palace to fall to sleep. We want excitement. Well not under Roy. He works very much with what he has got, and delivers. When Olise , maybe Franca, maybe Ferguson are fit and our short term injuries , Lerma Edouard Ahamada etc are fit then he may change things , but I will put money on him finding a position for Schlupp.
Personally I really like Schluppie. In the right position he sings if he is allowed to. But he does what he is told. Its what we need.
Solid and reliable.

Not if Sean Bean has any say in it:

we did miss Lerma , hughes is good but Lerma is better , 1 point better than no points , wasnt pretty to watch but still early doors ask Sheff utd fans if they would like to swap places , SJ made good saves but expected ones , we went to manu in lge cup with no hope and a tap in goal from 35yrds by ambrose turned game on its head , this utd is hit and miss so we could get a point in the lge game ,
Dont like eddie coming off with injury , so see how we stand after 12 games COYP
