Did you make that meme all by yourself? Very creative Matthew.
I take it you know who the chap is in the picture. He is a great example of left wing politics, isn't he?

What makes a mockery of the whole financial fiasco is the trillions that was used to bail out the financial sector, yet the neoliberal press help the government spread the lie that we are suffering austerity because of the fault of the poor and immigration. UKIP are no different. If you recall, prior the current economic crash, in 1999/2000 we had the comms sector crash when Marconi, MCI Worldcom and others went under...very similar cause and effect; incompetent corporate leadership and a total lack of adequate governance. Then, we had Enron too. The right (in the form of both major parties here and in America) learned nothing from any of these events, the better to turn a blind eye to the inadequacies or outright dishonesty of their cronies/supporters/funders (all three being the same). Until there is a sweeping shift to the left, it seems self-evident that history is doomed to repeat itself, increasingly as farce. But this seems not to trouble the voters of middle England.

The thinking man"a revolutionary is back! Hurrah! I will endeavour to do so tomorrow old sport. Thank you for the compliment, Matt. I shall keenly await your cogent response, all the more so for the rarity of such retorts from the right-hand side of the ledger.

And for every failed company, we have a successful socialist country, don't we? Socialist countries have a wonderful track record and it is a conspiracy the size of the Kennedy assassination merged with Watergate that has prevented all countries being socialist. That and 'right wing press barons'. Matt, the use of the word "socialist" in your response is your own choice. I believe I merely referred to "parties of the left", of which socialist parties are one of many available flavours. The fact is that their are parties of the left (and I include social democrats in various countries in their number) that do have track records just as palatable, or better, than those on the right (although I accept that "better" rather depends on your perspective. There is no absolutes for either you or me.) The reason the left has not prevailed in the UK or the USA in recent years/decades is not something I have put down to a conspiracy by the media or anyone else. Others may or may not have done so, but I haven't. A study of political and or social science makes it clear there are many reasons the right have prevailed -- far too many to list in this response. Money, however, is probably close to the root of all of them in one way or another. Radix malorum est cupiditas. It was ever thus. The fact that the right has had a long run in power is no more proof that right wing politics are effective or morally acceptable than the fact that Girls Aloud consistently reached number one is proof that they're great musicians. Neither is true.

ukip supporters don't read articles to understand they read merely in order to reply. LOUDLY. The thing I find amazing is that if this was such a scoop, why the mainstream press is not all over it at the moment? It appears that only the Guardian is reporting it. Why could that be?
He is not to be trusted, it appears. Not by a long chalk.
Thanks Kermit.
No sale. You are just being your usual smug self.
You may decide to continue to do so but how will you know that his latter thoughts truly usurp the video-based ones? The flip-flopping chatterbox is snookering his own supporters. Or, he would be if they weren't so damned well in love with him.
Draw from it what you will Kermit. However, you are a smart guy and must have doubts that you have witnessed the full extent of what was discussed in those events videoed. If you are unable to put Nige under the scrutiny spotlight for that video then I am coming to the conclusion that you don't actually really and truly support UKIP but are more interested in just being contrary against a few certain posters.

Stalin wasn't a facist, he was a ultra authoritarian communist. Just as Hitler wasn't a Facist, he was a national socialist (ie right wing, but not very right wing). I can't help but think people seem to simplify politics in relation to their convenience. Left wing is a very broad spectrum as is right wing, and they relate to economic policy primarily, where as authoritarianism defines more social policy. Hence Hitler, about as right wing as the conservative party, but very heavy on the authoritarian scale.

Do you know what questions were put to Nigel before he spoke? If so, what were they? Let me know then we can break down his response further.
