Name - Goals - Minutes per goal He scored goals more frequently than Defoe & Lukaku who both apparently had great seasons. If that's a bad year, what can he do with a full run of games and a team playing to his strengths?
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

This may be a bit leftfield, however I am of the opinion that if Wickham gets a run of games, stays clear of those niggling injuries, he will be an unstoppable force. I actually think he could end up being better than Harry "s***e for my country" Kane, if and I know it's a big if, he stays injury free. The lad has pace, is great in the air and we have all seen what he can do with a run of games. Not really sure we need Benteke for that money I think someone to play off Wickham like Berahinio would be better, but what with Pulis and Parish not exactly being best buddies I can't see that happening can you ?

My question is, is Benteke in the USA with Liverpool? I've found a couple of recent references in the Liverpool Echo that state Benteke is in the USA with the Liverpool squad, and this after Klopp intimated that he does not want Benteke. So, if in the States, when would Palace sign him? When will there be a medical etc.? It may be we have to wait until Liverpool return, and meanwhile time goes by in which Benteke (or another striker) could have been training and fitting in with the Palace squad.

No it means 9 goals ie 1 goal every 169 mins not 9 in 169 mins! Otherwise Aguerro would be scoring 24 goals in 99 mins!!! Edited by salop-eagle (25 Jul 2016 2.52pm)

The 169 is in relation to how many minutes he was on the pitch for, for each goal, so Defoe only scored every 170 minutes whereas Benteke scored every 169. Nothing happening regarding Beneke today,probably not ever, as SP despite the huge additional tv money and incoming US investors cash,may well not want to risk paying the scousers the full asking price.

If Liverpool paid £32.5 million out of the revenue that they were getting then.Would £33 million out of todays money constitute a fall in value.So he could be a bargain at that price.If he has a good season,and I don't see why he shouldn't then what would his value be then considering his age.

I think things are getting a little ahead of themselves. So far we have bid £25 m and Liverpool said no thanks we want £33 m. No sign of anything else happening since the bid 2/3 weeks ago so I would guess this is dead in the water. No need to worry about medicals or personal terms it's irrelevant.
