Quote from PV "“It is difficult, but the performance today gave us hope. The chances we created gave us hope." You can't be serious ...... The man is delusional and clutching at straws. Having said that, he identified the quality gaps for January and the board / executive management failed to heed the call. Stick or Twist ... can't change the squad, only option is to a) rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, or b) throw a Hail Mary pass and get a new coach in the hope that the tactics and motivation can stem the tide. It is a tough call and the problem is that if the decision is left until the Leicester result, it is probably too late to change the outcome. I can't blame Patrick for this mess, but neither does he have what it takes to fix it, and that is obvious. Post Arsenal, he will have lost both the plot and the dressing room. Not the time for blame, but IT IS THE TIME FOR ACTION! Edited by radicalsteve (15 Mar 2023 11.50pm)

Every match is Groundhog Day. If PV stays it can only be because they are putting all their cards on the easier run in. That’s a very dangerous game - those are all six pointers, if we continue to not score and lose those games then watch those teams leapfrog over us.

Vieira talks about "changing mindset", what about changing manager? The giant Frenchman seems like a likeable chap, always positive, but his background as a player (Arsenal) and coaching (Manchester C) is everything that Palace does NOT stand for.

It is a funny game - Brighton were so much better than us when we played them at home and we drew 1-1 where as there was not much in this time and we played so much better but lost 1-0. Got to take such encouragement from the way we started the game and the overall improvement since the last game against Brighton.

Been screaming for new signings with little progress seen, the Strikers we have are both useless but, all the swapping & changing does nothing for confidence. The starting line up always has me scratching my head, players like Hughes & Richards when finally given the opportunity both turn out MOTM winning performances only to then be dropped again when the regulars are fit again.

Precisely the wrong time to pull the trigger. Give him three games. We need three or four wins to stay up and after Arsenal we have a bit more chance. How the team plays against Leicester at home should be the litmus test if it all goes wrong at The Emirates. It makes sense. Who's going to bring this team on? Lampard? Gerrard? Hassenhuttl? Marsch? PV in!
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

We had clear cut opportunities to score, I don't really understand why it's the managers fault when some of our players fuck it up.

A team now in the ignominious habit of knowing how not to win, not to run, not to work is suddenly going to turn form around with what is needed to win so called "easier" games? I doubt it, and no one could say they didn't see it coming, it's been signposted since pre-season and much discussed on this board.

Vieria after match comments he is worried by lack of goals and the strikers have to change their mindset. Ok first shots on target tonight in three matches plain to see that something is not right. How about looking at the coaching setup. Why not bring in someone new to work with our strikers and coach who every he is do we have one ! different ideas different approach to what is going on at present it’s plainly obvious that it’s not working. Why not drop Ayew play both strikers up front at same time just an idea.
