Not sure how many times I need to say the same thing.

1 - Make it hard, to deter others.
2 - Make it not immediately successful economically for the leaver, to deter others.

Do you think we’ve only learned this today from your posts?

I was having a discussion with Teddy Eegle.

However, Rudi, earlier you claimed the EU were bullying us.

So if you understood my points already, why would you accuse them of bullying exactly?

Yes. Even I can grasp that but I still don’t get how the threat of it being hard to leave can lead to a harmonious relationship.
Algeria and Greenland both previously left but presumably their contributions weren’t as valuable as ours.

I would suggest the following EU goals, in order of importance in their minds.

1 - dont make Brexit easy/altogether successful for the UK
2 - try to maintain a harmonious relationship post brexit

Not sure if the Algeria and Greenland situations can offer much help in this situation.

I was just pointing out that others have left before which sometimes gets overlooked. As I’ve said before the whole thing is beyond my ken so I appreciate the civility of your answers regardless of whether we agree about it on an emotional level.

You can expect to be bullied and still be bullied.

Hard line brexiters have swallowed this idea that all the other states were in a union, the UK wasn't and had no benefits and the other states concocted rules and regulations just to spite us. People indoctrinated by politicians and the media with an agenda to make people hate other people and because tapping into nationalism gets voters to the ballot box

Question is whether you're gullible or have the maturity to rise above

Who is disseminating this misinformation? Everything I’ve heard since the vote has been vehemently anti. James O’Brien hasn’t talked about anything else for years except the idiots he deigns to talk down to who dared disagree with him.

Because some here are criticizing the EU for "bullying" us.

David Davis said we would have a trade deal the next morning, so he is one who thought so.

Many, many people probably believed David Davis, as how would they know better.

Know some do know better = new vote required.

Well they have bullied us but that is what one would expect from a power hungry, self serving and slightly desperate organisation.

Certainly, there has been some lies told, as ever, but any false optimism from Leavers has been matched and then some by Remainer doom mongers.

Par for the course post Referendum.

David Davies was stabbed in the back by remainers in the Tory party.

Over seventy areas voted leave while under forty voted remain.

We haven't seen the result of the referendum implemented yet.

A number of people in those leave areas voted solely on the immigration and NHS ticket which was fake news particularly the stuff about the NHS blazoned on the side of the leave bus which promised cash that cannot be fulfilled. There were considerable numbers of people taken in by this untruth in particular.

This often comes up a couple of things to remember though.

1) The government was pro EU and never made that committent that was by a pro Brexit group and even Mr Farage told them not to do it. You can't hold the government accountable for that.

2) Since then the government has increased funding to the NHS by slightly more than the figure on the bus so it can be argued that has been delivered.

What’s the number then? And solely on that? Really? Please.

And the stuff on the bus wasn’t a lie anyway. Anything can still happen, even more money for the NHS (eventually).
