Vieria after match comments he is worried by lack of goals and the strikers have to change their mindset. Ok first shots on target tonight in three matches plain to see that something is not right. How about looking at the coaching setup. Why not bring in someone new to work with our strikers and coach who every he is, do we have one ! different ideas different approach to what is going on at present it’s plainly obvious that it’s not working. Why is Ayew always on team sheet how about playing both strikers up front at same time just an idea. ( get shot down for that remark) Edited by manwitheagletattoo (16 Mar 2023 8.32am)

The team needs a kick up the arse and unfortunately Shaun Derry isn’t there to do it. At least he was proper Palace and cared (and wasn’t trying to use us a stepping stone to get a job at Arsenal - good luck with that the way you’ve turned us into a shambles!)

“The problem is that we don’t score those goals. We don’t make those right decisions in the last third. This is our problem.
Said PV after the Brighton loss. More blah-blah-blah

Another issue I have which for the life of me I cannot understand is why Richards is not playing winning player of the month and hasn’t played since. Richards looked extremely comfortable when he played and was growing in confidence every game so why is he bench warming. Hughes has had some good games in midfield ten times better than Milo. Richards is bench warming because PV is not flexable enough in his formation to include 3 centre backs . Hughes appears to be a sicknote and has to have a fortnight off after playing 90 minuites so PV only uses him as sub to keep him availiable (I made that up )

You have to think the board are waiting for the Leicester game before deciding what to do about the manager. All that’s saved him so far is the fact we’ve been playing against too half teams since the start of the year and we have a few points in the bay from our early form. Defeat to Leicester would surely be the end for PV. If not then the question becomes “Will they keep him when we’re in the Championship?”

They are surely starting to think about who they could get in if they fire him.

Thought this was interesting. Statistically there is no point changing the manager.

Really disappointed at how it's turned out for PV. I thought he'd be an inspirational manager and take Palace up a gear. It all seemed to go downhill after the WC lay off. We've looked crap since then. Listening to his post match interview, again it seems he simply doesn't know what to do. Telling his players they need to change their mindset is deflecting his responsibility and can have no positive effect.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Did a marvellous job at West Brom. No good looking back. I suspect that the days of those kinds of managers are over, as least for the time being? Originally posted by eaglesdare
