Hmmm stealing is a big word but you do seem to be losing it. Ok I think one example will do although I wouldnt LEGALLY call it stealing. Its just called privatisation where you give the private sector a business below the market value and then sit back whist your mates (which often included party members and cabinet ministers) made a 'killing' on the stock market. Seeing as you like research. Look up the sale of BT!!

It's absurd to compare the poor privatizations of industries in Britain......Which I grant you hasn't been great in some areas to the corruption and injustice of what happened in Russia.

You are just deflecting, pure and simple.

No hard feelings i hope LOL

And I never said we were or said Russia was better. Was just exposing the flaws in your arguement.

Anyway its been fun!!! I wanted to get to 10 000 views and 500 replies but it doesnt look like I will!!

Anyone else want to 'come and have a go' LOL

PS It was 5-1 you know!!!

All you exposed was that you don't know a lot about your own club or care about ethics....And that you're one eyed.

Happy trolling.

They cannot afford to waste time on youngsters, that's our job.

Hardly think the HUGE amount of investment that has gone on in our academy is a waste of time.
I think CPFC should be rightly proud of their academy. But I think our academy doesnt get the credit it deserves from other clubs.

Correct me if im wrong but isnt the only player to come through your academy in past 10 years thats gone on to be a proven player is JT? Mceachran and Bertrand obviously have the talent to succeed but atm dont think can be classed as a very good product yet. Im not saying chelseas academy isnt good but just saying that the reason it may not get the credit it deserves because lately it hasnt really produced anyone of note?

Also on a note to what you were saying about profit. Doesnt your profit include the winnings from the champions league?
'The figure is a significant improvement on the £67.7 million loss recorded in the 2010-11 season, and while full accounts are yet to be published, the profit reflects the financial upside of the club’s Champions League and FA Cup wins'
Not just the winnings of the champs league will come from that you would probably have made around the £1.4 million profit just on ticket sales of the first leg semi final?
With this not happening this year (granted you may go far or win the europa) surely the profit levels/turnover will go down. Especially now incorporating the huge wages of new players like Hazard. I know youve let some players go to try and make up for it but cant see the outgoing wages/transfer fees of players coming close to the wages/transfer fees of the players that have come in?

Listed academy products earlier, but Jack Cork (Southampton) and Carlton Cole (West Ham). However accepted it could have been better BUT as I stated the players coming through now are beginning to show great promise and in large numbers (check our players on loan)

In terms of profit.Yes in those figures they incluse the Champions League TV money BUT they dont include the massive increase in sales of merchandise and the projected increased revenues from sponsors and companies. Additonally the increased TV revenue will ofset loses from Champions League early exit.

Cant believe i forgot about Cork, seeing as I used to play against him when I was at school!! (he went to Glynn if i remember correctly). How old is carlton cole now, surely he came through nearly 15 years ago?
Ah k, tbh I dont know many of the academy players. Are they actually home grown youngsters or they ones bought in like you did a few years ago like di santo, rajkovic, piazon, kakuta, mitrovic......? Not a dig or anything but just curious? The ones above set you back a few million didnt they? (i know you sold di santo and Rajkovic for quite decent amounts btw) Any on loan in the championship (im probably being thick and not realised them other than Chalobah)

Yeah good shout with the sponsorship/merchandise etc, hadnt taken that into account. Be interested to see how the books balance with the increase in transfer spend/wages and losses of champs league money compared to the money you get in like you say with sponsorship/TV etc.

McEachran (middlesborough), Michael Mancienne (sold to Hamburg)as well. Yes its true, as I have stated earlier, that our academy during the early 2000 era didnt produce top players anywhere near as much as it should. However, any in-depth analysis of our academy products coming through now will indicate that there is an abundance of great english talent. Last season we won the U15 premier league tournament, U16 Premier League Tournament and won the FA Youth Cup with predominately English Players. We have a great deal of players representing England (although to be fair that has not historically been a good indication of success)

Knew I was being stupid as i literally had a word with a chelsea fan at work earlier who asked me to tell him how mceachran plays at the weekend! Yeah I havent looked back through all your posts as couldnt be bothered to read all 12 pages of this thread tbh. Its weird how these young tournaments are won by the 'bigger clubs' a lot but not many if any go on to make it. I remember arsenal saying about 5 years how there youngsters coming through are all english yet no-one has really come through. People like Lansbury who was one of their main up and coming players now sits on the bench for forest!

Also Hutchinson at Notts Forest, but I think you make a good point. To be fair to Arsenal they do have a lot of ex players in lower leagues. I think, to be honest, if we dont have big success in terms of youth products in the next 3 years I will happily 'eat humble pie'.

And no reading 12 pages of this thread is not something anyone is likely to do LOL

What happened to that bloke who won that programme? Sam Worrall/Wirrall something like that? Think show was called footballs next star? Yeah arsenal may but they have only produced two players are proven quality and porbably one other whos a good prem player in the last 1--15 years. Cole, Wilshere and Sidwell. Gibbs in theory started at wimbledon.

Is Kakuta still at chelsea? My mate whos chelsea reckoned he was gonna be the next big thing a few years ago?

Have no idea about Sam???? Kakuta on Loan to Vitesse Arnheim.Gibbs did leave Wimbledon quite young to be fair to Arsenal. Its difficult to argue who is responsible for a players development. I mean if Alistair Gordon does well for you, is he ours or yours?

Chelski, do you not think that spending £1billion on ANY club over the last 10 years would bring trophies? Of course it would & you know that if the Russians dirty money had bought spurs they would have been the ones in your shoes & you'd still be an average prem team

Wont answer dirty money bit (see last few pages- YAWN). However it actually wasnt 1 billion. Its about 600 million - important to get these things correct.

And average Premiership Side - we were actually just above average, but lets not be picky. Also bet you dream of being an average premiership side!!! LOL

So would you have been really happy if he had come to Palace???

Of course we'd love the trophies you've bought & only £600m what a bargain! See you on the way down when the Ruskie buggers off.
Chelsea - a top club with no class

This is why I love supporting Palace! One of the lowest wages in the championship, yet we are play off zone and battling for automatic promotion. Very high chance of being a Premiership club next year..

Chelsea-one of the richest clubs in the world and they draw to Brentford. Enough said, really.

You'd never see that from Barcelona or Juventus would ya?
