Parish must take complete responsibility for this fiasco !

I have always praised him but his luck finally ran out.
Having procured Pardew he allowed and probably encouraged him to try to change our style which was an almighty mistake because we just never had the quality of squad to do that. Again he rode his luck in getting Big Sam in who put us back on the right track for a club of our size , Sams departure was not SPs fault but it signalled a change of luck. Decisions had to be made but they were wrong. The first priority was to buy Sakho from Liverpool plus a new keeper and a striker. Also at that point he should have gone all out to get Silva from Hull - the obvious choice - but SP stayed on his yacht and expected Silva to wait which obviously underwhelmed Silva!
The appointment of FDB was simply too ambitious considering our size and squad and was a huge mistake which was demonstrated in the shambles against Huddersfield. After that game Parish should have seen the error of appointing this man and FDB should have gone there and then - his selection, style, substitutions and general demeanour were truly awful ! Parish should've sacked him and then come out admitting his massive error but applauding the quick correction of the mistake.
We ended up waiting so long to buy Sakho that he is not match fit and we only have one striker plus a keeper who is just not good enough. With 3 of the hardest games in view SP waited too long to sack de Boer with the result that we got no points at all from the first 4 games - a potential disaster.
By appointing Hodgson it looks like Parish is trying to emulate the successful signings of Pullis and Sam but I fear that Roy is no longer in the same category of manager - I sincerely hope that I'm wrong because we can't go sacking Roy in January if we are still in trouble !

Steve Parish has done wonders for us up until this summer when maybe he just got too ambitious and over confident.. Either way we now have to get behind Hodgson and pray that he can still succeed even at his age - failure and relegation will surely see Parish replaced.

By all accounts Steve Parish is the DoF so perhaps Dougie is his assistant

I don't really understand most of this post tbh.

You're saying that he should have sacked him after one game and not four? That truly is ridiculous. In the context of staying up, Roy has 34 games which should be more than enough to do a job, especially when you compare the situation to when Allardyce/Pulis/Pardew joined.

If SP made a mistake, then he made a mistake and has tried to correct it. I don't necessarily agree with the the timing or the way it was done, but I can't see how you can suggest he waited too long to do it?

Sakho has been recovering from an injury all summer, so I don't see why signing him in July would suddenly have made him match fit?

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Don't know what all the fuss is about. This happens every year, its just come earlier than normal! Don't seem to be much change to our yearly events!

manager in > manager out > manager in, job to avoid relegation > avoid relegation > manager out > manager in, job to avoid relegation

Very repetitive!

Pretty obvious really - The writing was clearly on the wall after 1 game - if he'd sacked him then we might have 7 points now !!!
As for Sakho - the only reason to prolong his purchase was to save money which was a false economy !
