Wow - what can I say. That was the worst refereeing I've ever seen - and there have been some bad ones. Did Wilf let himself down - Possibly... I'm enraged and I was only watching, I didn't get the S**t kicked out of me the whole game. I do know that if I was playing in that match I've have seen red - before getting a card from the ref. How the F**k did the Saints get away with that? Romeu serially fouling, giving the ref verbal and nothing. Its easy for us to say that players should calm down but FFS that was out and out assault.

Really strange and very weak performance from the ref. Some horror tackles and I could see this coming with Wilf in a game just like this. He is/was BENT thats the only explanation for that display,,,Romeua should have been booked 3 times and wasnt Ward Prowse should have been booked and wasnt Stephens should have got straight red and didnt....corruption in referees who knew??

Yes the ref was stinking tonight, however, if we get relegated it will not be because of refereeing decisions. It will down to Roy not making the most blindingly obvious tactical changes needed to see out the game. LA Rams head coach, Sean McVay, genuinely employs someone to make sure he doesn’t get in the way of the referee during the game. Do we need someone to remind Roy he has a bench full of players that can impact the game?

Why no Wickham or Benteke in the second half? We keep being told they are fit but Roy won’t put either on. Can someone please drive Ayew back to Swansea he just isn’t a centre forward in any shape or form. I’d rather see one of the kids in.

I've been wayching PL fpotball sonce the PL started and I've seen countless times teams like that assault our players repeatedly and get away with it but I've never seen a match reffed as badly as that.

Meant to also mention the leg breaking assault on Andros in first half again right in front of ref that he didnt even think was a foul. If Townsend hadn't jumped his leg was toast. It was a red card tackle.

Frankly, I'm almost glad that Roy didn't play Wickham or Benteke tonight....... either of them could so easily have ended up back in hospital the amount of lethal hacking that went on unchallenged

Romeu I am sure must have had money on himself to get sent off as he should have had at least half a dozen yellow. The ref bottled too many big decisions like the penalty but Zaha made it easy, he needs to stop reacting like this as more and more teams will do this now and wait for the reaction. Easy target.

I would have taken a point beforehand. But the way that game panned out is a shame. Shocking referee and Wilf being a div. Still, better position in Re: Bottom 3 compared to last game so will look at the positives.

Not looking good for the Fulham game even without Zaha out for that match (only one game ban for 2 yellows?) Guess if Sako is fit he will replace him on Saturday The managers faith in Ayew and Schlupp is really depressing - neither are PL calibre players. Surely 45 mins from Wickham or Benteke was obvious?

This , the second half if wilf had the ball he was taken out. He was fouled the final time and JWP rippped the piss deliberately to get wilf sent off , you could see him laughing as it happened. Romeu should of not been on the pitch the amount of times he took players out. Terrible ref display again by Mariner

How Romeus head high rugby tackle on Tomkins wasn't a penalty in Mariners view will be one of life mysteries. Romeu is a thug and spent the evening fouling anything that moved, but got away with it.
