£50million plus wasted on hasbeens, never going to be's and the overly expensive = Parish

Selling over half the club to Americans = Parish

No ground redevelopment and no proper upgrading of facilities in training and at the Academy = Parish

£550million plus turnover going through the club and with relegation not much at all to show for it = Parish.

I blame Pardew.

Freedman leaves, poached by what he thought was a bigger club; Holloway leaves/is sacked because he's out of his depth; Pulis sneaks out with his bonus and later gets sued; Warnock sacked for poor performances and a better option was available; Pardew sacked for an abysmal run of form and the complete dissolution of any organisation in the team. The only thing you can really blame Parish for is not sacking Pardew sooner.

As for allowing American investment - I really don't see what effect that's had on anything. It's unclear to me how the club is reaping the benefits of the investment, but equally I don't see how the team's performances could be affected.

I do agree that our transfer activity isn't the best, and we need to invest in better scouting and transfer infrastructure.

But why are we in relegation trouble? The run of form from the beginning of 2016 reveals a long-term problem and it's absolutely clear that Alan Pardew failed to maintain the fitness and organisation of the team. He's a good motivator; but the defence was a shambles and getting worse under his tenure, and the constant slip-ups late in games due to lack of fitness were embarrassing.

Burley was s***e.
Freedman walked.
Holloway struggled and walked/had to go.
Pulis was a deceitful git and walked.
Warnock was taking us down.
Pardew was backed but things were clearly not right.
Allardyce probably the best option available?

I'm not sure how he is particularly to blame with most of these to be honest? He's generally backed his managers and if anything, was incredibly lenient with Pardew and Freedman. Plenty wanted Dougie gone after the first three games of the promotion year?

I can't honestly see how anyone can claim that Burley, Holloway, Warnock or Pardew deserved to keep a job, and in any case the results achieved at the end of each of those seasons fully justified the decisions?

He's backed his managers. If he hadn't, then you'd be moaning that he wasn't spending money.

Selling over half the club to Americans = Parish

Other than you not liking the Americans, there isn't really any actual evidence of anything to suggest that any of this is anything to do with them is there?

Ground wasn't going to be fixed overnight, but for what it's worth he's carried out some pretty essential maintenance work including upgrading bars, restaurants, replacing wooden seats, new screen, new TV studio/gantry/lighting (all PL requirements I believe?), new pitch (x2), undersoil heating and a ticket scanning system that, despite issues for some on Day 1, has worked perfectly for me every week since?

Training ground and Academy is pretty difficult to judge again, assuming that none of us get to look around inside much? There's been plenty of talk about first Pulis and Pardew having input in upgrading it, but short of knocking it down I don't know what's been added/changed. I'm sure there was something about cryo that was mentioned again recently since Allardyce came in?

Under his watch we've been promoted (against all odds) had arguably our best sustained spell of top flight football and gone to only our second ever major cup final.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Good observation. Players as a result mentally shot. New players will help readjust this, by winning.

He engages with the fans and has the clubs best interests at heart. Don't think it's overly fair to blame parish.

Attention will turn to the terrific job Allardyce has done.He will be lauded and called a "Legend" !

Not by me.
He will have done his job.

Not really £50 millions worth there.
Our first transfer window was ridiculous but we recovered from that.
It's gone wrong League wise since the win at Stoke and Bolasie getting injured.
The Cup run was great and is what a Football Club is meant to be about.
Trying to win something and finishing as high in your league as possible.
