Well done Alex for getting the thread going. I think the word ‘ultra’ has a negative connotation with many Palace fans, so perhaps don’t brand yourselves as that. Also, go for club colours instead of black. Just my thoughts anyway to appeal to a wider audience. Good luck, I hope you can get a decent group of singers down there.

I've got my season ticket in block B and will be up for a sing. I've been in Thailand the past few years so haven't been recently, but I did have a season ticket in block B the year we lost in the play offs to Bristol City. I'm not sure if the fanatics were even about back then but the atmosphere in the section was still good! I've also sat at the back of the Arthur wait before, which also has a singing section. I admire your passion Alex but don't worry block B will live on. I too am disappointed that this out the outcome but you don't have to be an ultra to sing! I've been to away games such as West Ham where the ultra's didn't and the Palace were as vocal as ever! Anyway looking forward to meeting you all down there this season, the ultras May be gone but long may the noise and passion continue! Edited by tinribzzz (28 Jul 2018 9.27am)

A new nickname? What about The Double Glaziers? Have you seen what happens when a Seagull comes into contact with double glazing?

Well this is depressing Why? If a load of people who want to sing and chant congregate in block B, replacing those that are apparently moving out, I can't see what the problem is? Not sure the group needs a name as I think this is what seems to have alienated some Palace fans.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |
