I hope it looks better in the flesh. To be fair anything that is said on here is not going to make a blind bit of difference, we have this kit for the upcoming season and that’s that. Personally I’m more bothered about what happens on the pitch. We are in for a tough start but we also have some exciting new players to cast an eye on. It’s just a pity they will be wearing a barbers pole for a shirt.
In dog beers I’ve only had one. |

That has to be the worst home kit I can remember...absolutely shocking. I have to say my eyes were not filled with admiration on seeing the new kit.

Good Points Its Red and Blue. Bad points The blue stripe on the back under the left under arm doesn't line up with the front blue stripe. The blue blue stripe stopping and butting up to the red on the shoulders. Was this designed by someone at Puma with a grudge against us.

I feel this is truly, almost staggeringly awful. It's so f***ing abject that I actually wondered if it was a joke at first. I can see now that it isn't, but yet I am still hoping to get an email from the club saying 'Gotcha! - here's the real kit!'. Why do football clubs allow some dickhead to f*** about with something that is so important as the kit? The simpler the better should be the motto, but its like they've been asked to push the boundaries of what might possibly be reasonable as far as they can, just for a laugh. It looks like a barbers shop pole, or a stick of seaside rock, or a bad acid trip. Or some hideous combination of all three. They should pin this up in the club shop. Who was it that said, “Bad taste creates many more millionaires than good taste”?

Wow, a red and blue shirt with wonkey stripes, inspired .. at least a slight upgrade on last years effort. Do Puma have no talent in the design department..

The more I see of it the more I hate it, and the thought process behind it. I've no illusions that football clubs don't actually belong to supporters, and appreciate that as private companies they can do as they please, but it still sticks in the throat a bit that they feel free to f*** about with something people care about without running it by them. It's not quite as bad as when Cardiff changed to a red kit to appeal to the far eastern market, but it's in that same tradition of not asking what supporters think before making a change. The real issue though is the mindset that a new kit must be some sort of new, previously unconsidered design, an 'innovation' or some such bollocks - That the design team at whatever sweatshop-based multinational we've gotten lumbered with this time will know best, and that we should leave this kind of thing to them.

It does something similar to my undercarriage Willo. As an old football manager of mine used to say when dealing with nonsense from a fool - 'You're giving my areshole toothache!'. That's what this kit does.

That shirt is a minger. Diagonal stripes would have looked good if properly executed, but that mess is far from well executed Looks cheap and nasty, badly aligned seams, too many shades of blue. On the plus side and this is a very thin silver lining. Other premier teams are now charging £100 for a shirt. Our £55 offering is merely expensive instead of outrageously expensive.

Well nobody can call it bland! Just imagine for one moment the fan reaction if we'd had social media back in 1973 when our whole image, colours, crest, nickname etc were changed without any fan consultation. I suspect we'd have encountered complete meltdown.
