Congratulations Bournmouth and good luck hopefully you will keep the clowns down. I beleive the only winner in all this is Bournmouth for short term but the real winner is Mr Howe he has gone to being a relative unknown apart from a few championship clubs to probably the whole championship and possibly the bottom half of the premiership being aware of him. I beleive he will get top job because his reputation has been significantly upped over the last week. Any onwards and upwards for us comon Palace.

Good luck to him and Bournemouth. I don't think there's been much (if any) manipulation of the media - news came out that he'd been given permission to talk to us, he did, and chose to stay where he is. All completely fair enough in my opinion, and shows he has a decent attitude to his current employers.

Now he can get on with the job in hand down there, and we can have a look at the next candidate(s)

Good on him, got to respect that kind of loyalty. And I hope we get to prove he made the wrong choice, by winning the championship next season!!

All this stuff about p*ssing about and wasting our time, I suspect thats us actually wasting our time monitioring a live situation, I doubt Parrish and co have been following the thread, hitting f5 and occassionally posting updates from the Meldrums of the world.

In truth, its probably wasted a day of their time at worse - They'll have other plans no doubt.

Back to work. Or is it....

Good luck to Eddie and Bournemouth, however we can't have someone here with a lack of ambition.

Not sure if there is a lack of ambition but he certainly seems to be someone who wants to stay in the comfort zone. No one will ever know how good or bad he is until he moves and people see him for what he does rather that (rightly deserved) rose coloured glasses. I do not think he has done his career prospects any good for the future though!!! Will he be touting himself around if they dont get promoted?

Oh well after 200 plus pages of is he or not coming to Selhurst and fair play to Eddie Howe deciding to stay with Bournemouth so life goes on and now hopefully we get Chris Hughton but still feel the job will go to Chris Coleman with Dougie as no2.

I'm fuming This is scandelous Doesn't he realised he's ruined a potential Gold Talk thread Hope the cherries servers go bust

Still got to be bound for Gold Talk, with so many people making utter t***s of themselves on a repeated basis.

Am I upsetting the balance Hambo?should I just let them get on with it?Gold talk has standards and I'm a bit worried my intervention may tarnish its potential.

Oh no, it's the occasionally moments of serenity amongst the madness that give the whole thing context and structure. This thread is a thing of beauty that can be studied through the ages.

I don't post regularly these days but wanted endorse those who have praised Howe's loyalty. In an ideal world the decision would have been made a lot quicker but it was a massive decision to take for him and his family.

I wish him and Bournemouth all the best and hope they achieve promotion. I do think though if he keeps maintaining the progress at Bournemouth then sooner rather than later a club will make him an offer that he just can't refuse.
