Sorry I never meant January - the January' Window' remains unchanged.

Yes, in theory clubs are not forced to sell but other factors enter the equation of course financially and otherwise so clubs could lose a player without having the opportunity to buy a replacement.

Next season of course, our 'Window' will be open whilst the World Cup is in progress which might hamper the ability of our clubs to sign the top players.

So will everyone else's. It will simply shut more quickly after it's conclusion in our case.

My understanding is that our 'Window' will open earlier than those from Europe so we can buy players at a time when it might not be that easy because of the World Cup but European clubs will be able to buy after the World Cup and when our window is shut.

So we might be disadvantaged due to the time between the World Cup and our window closing whereas European clubs won't be restricted in such a manner.

All windows still remain 12 weeks long. All the ones you've mentioned will be open from before the World Cup, throughout the duration of it, and beyond the final.

We will be able to makes transfers for a longer period before the World Cup. i.e. 1st dibs, which may be an advantage. Especially as players know that in the majority of cases they will earn more in this country. If they decide to hold out until after our window closes, they'll most likely have reduced offers from the others as the major player/buyer in the transfer market will no longer be an option.

PL clubs can still do business during the World Cup, but will now have only 25 days after its conclusion in which to complete signings.

World Cup ends 15th Jul 2018 and our 'Window' shuts 9th Aug 2018.The European Leagues 'Window' shuts 31 Aug 2018.

I know, you are simply repeating what I've stated with the dates added.

Ours will open earlier.

Indeed but we will have less time to sign the players when the World Cup is over than our counterparts in Europe.

Players might be less inclined to move before the tournament and European leagues will have more time to sign those who do impress at the tournament.

Time will tell !
