Now come on Syd, i didnt say "lets buy Neal Maupay" it was just a suggestion, in my opinion striker and right back are essential, and a replacement for Wilf, we are not going to get brilliance but we need better, although i wouldn't be delighted to see Maupay sign he is better than Edouard and Mateta, and i would like to see the back of both.

One I think might be interesting is Aaronson from Leeds. He hasn't really pulled up trees this season (at Leeds, who has?) but at his best, he's shown some proper ability and he's only 22 so plenty of time to develop. Furthermore, as, at worst, a sort of pound-shop Conor Gallager (and at best, potentially a good player) he fills a position where we need help; we're in urgent need of a box-to-box midfielder with an engine and an attacking aspect to his game. If he could be picked up for a reasonable sum, I'd take a look.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Despite the poor form of most of them, there are still some excellent players in those squads. I’d be happy with any of these:

DCL
Harrison
Alcaraz
Castange
James Justin
Barnes
Gnonto
Johnson
Gibbs White
Solanke

-Maupay = 1 goal in 1191 minutes of football (25 shots) also 1 assist

-Edouard = 6 goals in 1722 minutes (27 shots) also 2 assists

-Mateta = 2 goals in 900 minutes (20 shots) no assists

I know our two don't exactly inspire confidence but they're world class in comparison to that weasel Maupay. Brighton were prepared to take a loss just to offload him and Everton were stupid (or desperate) enough to bite. (Yes I know he scored that last minute goal against us last season but only because we gifted it to him.

Leeds paid Salzburg 31m euro for him so hardly pound-shop Syd. I'd rather we give our own Ahamada a run and see his box-to-box ability

From the five clubs who three win get relegated, anyone anybody?
Everton; Tom Davies (free) Maupay?
Leeds: Bamford (different player now)
Leicester: Luke Thomas, Iheanacho?
Forest: nobody we can afford worth having
Southampton: Walker-Peters, Maitland-Niles(free from Arsenal), Che Adams(one year left on contract), Alcaraz

For me, Davies, Maitland-Niles both for free, Maupay/Adams possible, But i think Alcaraz is going to be top class, would love him.

from this list only Walker-Peters and Alcaraz might get in our 1st teams.
Players like Maitland-Niles and Davies have been poor for a few years now and i would avoid.
Luke Thomas looks a good prospect but i think has had a few injuries. He's a possible.

great options, but too expensive i'm afraid.

Maybe Barnes at Leicester. Looked great a couple of years ago but has been disappointing this year. Suspect he's also out of our price range

Can someone please post a list of all the players we have bought in the years we have been up from relegated teams.

Not many I guess. The best players are hunted by those with deeper wallets and the rubbish got them down.

Our business model would be more like trying to dig out gems from their U21 sides.

I think you are picking the statistics you want, Maupay at seaweed in the Premier league, Pl 102 Gls 26, Ast 7, show me a record from M and E, comparable.
