I fancy 2-1, Villa will provide tougher opposition than wolves

Another team were coming against who are running on empty after a long season with European football when we’ve been revitalised with good new signings, a new gaffer and Eze and Olise starting together……3-0 to us

Now that Villa have virtually confirmed CL football after last nights game, we have a pretty decent chance of winning on Sunday, 2-1 Palace. JPM hits the target again!

Tough game, but Villa could be on the beach if Spurs lose to City, which is highly likely.

In that case, we could sneak a win.

If Spurs beat Citeh tonight (and their league record against them at the new stadium is impressive - Citeh haven't scored there in the league yet) then Villa will need a point on Sunday to be sure of CL football or even a win if Spurs beat Sheff U by at least 8 goals in their last game)

I thought we were a bit sloppy at times against Wolves and were possibly a bit too relaxed. I get the feeling that was why Olise didn't celebrate his goal as he had wasted a couple of chances prior to that. I think we can win this. 4-2.

I think this will be the case as well, so another thrashing is on the cards.

I was brightly optimistic of a win in an earlier post, but having seen their recovery football to earn a draw last night I'm now less bullish. Although, as others have pointed out, a Man City win tonight might temper their enthusiasm.

Whatever the result I predict a fun time will be had by all at Selhurst on Sunday.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

All very well deserved after such an unbelievable turn around in fortunes.
How different things would have looked had we persisted with 'Royball',and not made the critical change at the time, where we were flirting with relegation.

Hoping Hughes will start or Lerma in Richard's spot at LB and Richards with Wharton in the middle I think. This will be a hard fought match as both teams will want to end positively. No one will be 'on the beach'. 3-1 win to Palace.

Agree with the beach comment also, a Villa fan rang into Talksport this morning saying it didn't matter what Spurs did as Villa would get the result at the weekend with us being on the beach. McCoist laughed at him saying Palace away is one of the one of places you'd rather not go at the moment with the way the team are playing.

2-2 for me. Hopefully Hughes is back for this one or Lerma replaces him in the middle
