Another black woman shot dead in Baltimore. BLM have condemned the shooting as an "systematic attack on people of color".
This poor lady was being arrested for traffic violations, yea she had a shotgun, yea she made threats to kill, I accept that she pointed the gun at a officer and said that she was gonna kill him. My point is, couldn't the police officer have waited until she fired?? Don't get me wrong, I would have shot her, but cops are different they should sacrifice a colleague before deciding to open fire.
I will hear no criticism of the deceased, she is the victim and was totally innocent and shouldn't be held accountable for her actions.

BLACK LIVES MATTER.

I can understand the uproar but I saw a video of a guy being shot in front of his mother after inadvertently answering the door holding a screwdriver presumably in the middle of some DIY, while the death of a criminal with a gun has led to murder of the police.

If they consider themselves in danger (potentially because he was black) then we should look into why they're so inept. I can't understand how anyone could conduct any public service with such inherent hatred.

Conversely there was a particular black cop that gave his account of the vitriol he received from members of his community (criminal or otherwise) due to his profession.

America clearly does has a gun and racism problem but the latter isn't solely responsible for a nation of Chief Wiggums.

Just had a mixed race mate rant about this latest case which on the surface appears pretty f***ed up, only to have a white relative go in to detail of the victims clearly provocative actions.

The plot really does thicken on this one, with a video made by the victim anticipating trouble and loading the shotgun. I'd say 'only in America' but even by their standards it's a highly irregular thing to do unless you're refusing to be arrested without a fight and even the guilty will rather face their chances in court.

Actually, the story is a bit more complex, but the police pretty much seemed to do everything right in the Korryn Gaines case.

As a matter of fact, she fired on the police, and was shot in return, I don't think anyone by the most 'ideologically wedded person' would consider the event questionable. Of course there will always be those who will use any event to pursue an agenda, or simply don't trust the police at all.

But on the face of it, you couldn't really ask for a more justified shooting by the police, or better procedure (secure the area, isolate the suspect, negotiate and only resort to lethal force when the issue is pushed by the suspect).

BLM evil, I think that's just pure hyperbole. BLM doesn't seem to be a structured organisation, but a social media movement (I was trying to find their home page etc - and they don't seem to have an official statement).

Still, it should involve an independent enquiry, even when its seemingly obvious what happened.
