There was a lot of leeway given to Pardew, right up until the Swansea game. I think, in our fifth season, it's not unreasonable to now expect to not be in yet another relegation battle.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

best and most technical league in the world. Any manager needs serious chops to do well there especially with the smaller clubs' budgets

Fantabulous. Look what he did to Townsend. As well as the impact he's had on our players we need him to bring the nouse and experience of the PL, lack of which knowledge is really the only weakness with de Boer's CV.

Conte,Wenger,Pochettino,Koeman, Klopp etc etc never had any PL experience either ! De Boer is well aware of the intensity and competitiveness of the PL so I'm sure it won't catch him unawares. Koeman brought his own staff in when he joined Southampton, as did Pochettino at the same club and the same can be said of Klopp at Liverpool.Conte had Holland with him (No longer) but he also brought in his own people.
