I'd rather sign a good centre half for £15m then sign Sakho for £30m just because we know him. He'd be my first choice still, but it has to be at the right price.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

I've not spoken to him about Sakho's time at our club but if he has seen him play I am sure he will have been impressed. Well Willo if we can afford him would you sign him .?

I'm putting my trust in FdB and SP, whatever they decide. Surely, as a defender himself, FdB will know a ball-playing CB for a decent price when he sees one. Regarding Mama though and some previous comments on this thread that he doesn't look that composed in possession. At times to me it looks like he has 2 different brains controlling his 2 feet, and a 3rd brain controlling his heading. He can at times look ungainly, like Bambi on ice, certainly not like for instance a Rio Ferdinand, who at his peak looked like a Rolls Royce, cruising through games, never looking that rushed, even with a somewhat larger turning circle. Mama however gives his all for us, puts his body on the line, gets stuck in, and that's the sort of player we love at Selhurst. Whether or not he's worth £30Mil in these crazy times where the money is no longer tangible is not for me to say as I don't have to balance the books. I'd love him back personally, if not just for his infectious personality, but Liverpool will probably have to be more realistic about their valuation.

what impressed me about MS (apart from his guts, determination, commitment, teamwork, good talker and organiser), was that he looked very comfortable on the ball. not just a hurried hoof out all the time. head up and looked for a nice simple pass to the likes of luka or cabaye. he was terrific for us, but 30m is a hell of a lot for a club like us, and wages on top. id love us to sign him, but the price would have to be lowered, along with wages.
a rich man is only a poor man with an obscene amount of money |

We all love Sakho, but need to remember that Sakho was signed by big Sam. FDB may have different plans. I think this is the major point , We had no manager and SP deciding who he wanted was going to put prospective managers.I think that his "interference" in Football matters is one of his weaknesses.I think that one of the reasons Pullis went was that he was dictated to who he could and couldn't buy. We all may want him from his performances last season and I think it may happen. FDB needs to make the descision about who he wants

Accuracy doesn't have to be funny, just hit the mark.

What is clear however, is the we have made a huge investment in the front line of our team and what is really now in need is some investment at the back as like it or not this was our weakness last season so I do hope something gets sorted soon.
