Well, relegation is pretty remote. In the history of the EPL, only five teams with at least seven points after 4 games have been relegated - and none with eight or more.

Leeds, last year, were one of them. They actually had 7 points in 3 games then went on a 2 in 8 run

They certainly ended the season in a right-old "two and eight".

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

It is a long old season and we have a thin squad full of holes. We haven't beaten a top 8 club for a while now.

If we are very lucky with injuries we could scrape into the top 10

If we are very unlucky with injuries we could get into a relegation battle.

We'll probably end up around our normal place, for me as the eternal pessimist, that would be a good result.

I think we'll be where Brentford and Fulham were last season - up until the last season or two I always felt we were fire fighting and there was not much real continuity or progression - I think that's changed, we have a really solid base, our non-star players are stepping up and we have Olise and Franca to come back. 8th.

I just want us to finally get over 50 points to indicate some form of progress.

It feels unbelievable that we've stayed up for 10 seasons and never cleared it - it's an astounding level of consistency.

Position can be a bit misleading. Brentford were only 2 places above us last year but 14 points ahead, 3 points off the top 6 and within a whisker of Europe. Meanwhile we were 1-0 down at home to Leicester, going into April feeling very, very twitchy for about 10 minutes.

I’m feeling really positive and that isn’t always the case. I see a fighting spirit with a blend of extreme talent in certain areas. Roy had us finishing from 11th to 14th without almost all of the talented players at his disposal now. Some of the top teams to be honest are in a mess and Newcastle, West Ham, Villa and Brighton have to contend with European matches. Dust off your passports, this season will be one to remember.

I think ultimately we'll finish 12-14th. We just have zero depth, and if we get an injury to someone important we'll struggle.

The current bottom 6 will all be there come the end of the season.

So I think it will be us Forest and Fulham in the battle for 12, 13,14.
