I think we may have to agree to disagree on that one.

I agree about the West Brom game. It's the first time this season (apart from possibly v Bournemouth) where we had pretty much complete control of the game over the full 90 minutes.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I was at both games - as you may have been too. The WBA win was definitely our best performance. Followed by Bournemouth away. Southampton and Stoke were both very poor when we played them at SP.

I was in the middle of writing out a response, I don't see how playing attacking football for 90 minutes and conceding a consolation goal in the 90th minute can't be considered as the best performance. The Bournemouth game certainly wasn't a good performance. From the 75th minute they looked like they would equalise and it was a relief when we finished the game off late on.

A very odd viewpoint. They lost something like their 1st six, played like a 3rd tier outfit.

It's not about the scoreline you know but the opposition as well as us and how we went about doing the business on the day. Stoke were absolutely toilet so how anyone can say that was the best performance of the season is laughable. You may as well say our early league cup victory every season is our best performance.

I'd actually put todays game up there too.
We got 3 points out of nothing really and that's exactly what we need right now.
Last year this game would've been a loss or draw at best.
I love Allardyce.
I'm sorry but I really do.
So there.
X.

West Bromwich performance was better than Stoke. They didn't have one single real chance -- not one -- and they'd swept all before them at their place. We crushed them.

For me, the control we had up their made it our all round best performance in the PL since coming back up. At least of the games I've seen.

Fair points, we should of played terrible against Stoke and creates no chances and scraped a 1-0 win by an own goal because Pardew isn't allowed to of had a good game in charge. How dare Stoke be on a bad run and make Pardew look good.
