I listened to it too and have the complete opposite reaction.

We have to sell before we can buy... How is that a positive? Do you think it will be Mutch, Lee or Sako?

Maybe you have millions to be a shirt sponsor?

The thing I'm concerned about regarding the tight situation on transfers is that this formation change means we need more. Otherwise it is what it is, although it may not be as bad if Pardew was sacked in April or October latest without the inexcusable contract extension.

I would guess there is 7 stable clubs in the Prem League. Everyone else is a bad season away from relegation. So no we shouldn't expect to be stable as you put it.

What we should be doing is slowly pushing towards being more of a Stoke or WBA. Although this takes years and is basically the aim of all the other 12 clubs in the league as well.

Also being a London club doesn't always help. You may have noticed we aren't the biggest fish in that Pond.

Never a truer word spoken. Below that top 7 the other 13 are in a relegation scrap barring a Leicester type season. Stick off the entitled bulls***.

I must be one of a few that's happy to see Freedman retuning. If it does go tits up we have a ready made replacement with Sammy Lee alongside that could be a good partnership. Seems like a good safety net in my opinion. Hopefully FDB gets it right soon and most of us get to eat humble pie? If he does then Freedman stays in this new role and the club evolves further or he takes over and we stay up by the skin of our teeth again? Let's see how it goes over the next few weeks and what new signings come in and who leaves. Gonna be hard to shift those like Mutch, Lee and Sako as they are on high salaries and I don't know what teams in the championship could pay them?

And the biggest joke of course have to be the Palace 'fans' who seem intent on wanting to destroy and knock everything good the club tries to do.

Of course nobody knows if this will turn out to be a good or bad appointment. The club clearly think it's a good idea that can continue building what Freedman actually started.

For Christ's sake stop knocking the club, board, manager and chairman and let them get on with the job they have managed to do pretty successfully so far. We are going through a transformation and it might hurt to start with, but at least give these people some kind of chance to make that extra bit of difference.

The truth is none of us know anything about how to take Palace to the next step, our finances or how the club is run. From the outside it looks a very well run club. Just trust people to know what they're doing. Imangine doing your job and people knocking you with every bit of good you try to do for the company. Just shocking support this season. Get a grip.

Don't like this criticism of 'feeling of entitlement' we have been in prem for 5 years now, we are entitled to want more, that's the point of being a football fan, were supposed to dream even if it is just that.

Can't stand De Boer or this insanity hes trying to introduce but OP sounds like a bit of a conspiracy, I quite like having Dougie back and IMO he probably won't have much short term impact one way or another, could be wrong though!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Tis the Season of windows.

Currently the transfer window is open.

We have a Palace window of two loan players hopefully determined to advance their careers before they return to their contracted clubs

We have the FdB window of hopefully three years

we have been seeing home grown (with palace contracts) youth playing first team minutes

FdB has been asked to show his skill - Dougie Freedman as Director of Football take some work away from him, as do Sammy Lee and the two recent back room appointees.

We have as choir wanting to sing "Can you hear the ^^^^^ sing

I am eagerly looking forward to seeing these windows closing - the window of FdB real games defeats seems to be closing, and I hope that the Ipswich game is regarded by all as a test to be passed. COYP

Now today we have the appointment of Dougie Freedman.
I don't care about how he left the club back in 2012 , thats football and everyone is out for themselves , clubs and employees included
What I DO CARE about is that this appointment of a VERY AVERAGE CHAMPIONSHIP manager has clearly been put in place so that Freedman can replace FDB when he fails , as he will do , probably before christmas time .
The first few weeks speaks bucket loads of the ambition of Parish and the club . Clearly FDB was the only manager available that was going to accept the limited budget , and in doing so said that he wanted to change style . In not having funds definitely speeded up Big Sam's retirement and definitely left Tony Pulis feeling less than confident .
So here we are , bottom of the table , a team in confusion , manager without a clue ,no transfer budget , and a sporting director who's managed a championship side for a season and half.
What a joke
This time next year , Freedman will be manager , we will be in the Championship .

Everyone will have their own opinion of de Boer and Freedman. You will never be universally liked.

I remember back in 1991 when we were on our way to 3rd place in the top table, two people who I stood with, old couple, hated Coppell!

I asked them how they could hate him when we were finishing 3rd and had been to a cup final. They just insisted he was a crap manager, useless.

At the end of the day we are all entitled to our own opinions, we are not entitled to our own facts.
